Get the right size
They work well if you get the right size. Looks like an upside down umbrella, and you probably use it to collect water in a pinch. But it keeps the sun from damaging the front shelf from drying out.

A little big
I bought this because it said it would fit my car, but it was a little big for the window. Plus, there's no space (opening) for the rear view mirror to fit

Horrible
I’m leaving in Texas and it’s hot. This was supposed to cover some sun in my car and it doesn’t. Plus the umbrella was hot after a long park day that it burned your fingers when touch.Horrible product

Good at sun blocking, but lacking at durability
This shade provided excellent sun coverage, but due to poor design or manufacture was defective after two months of use. The metal ribs poked through the fabric and the handle cover fell off. The shade was quickly and easily positioned for use and folded up neatly. However, I would recommend using another brand.
