Easy to break when fitting, but good sound per buck.
I bought 3 pairs for a new build. The first lug broke when installing, because the plastic is brittle and the unit is built on a budget. I hot-melted it back together and started all screws off to centre the clamp in it's socket (but still just loose enough to swing behind the cut-out) before re-fitting (easier to understand if you see it). Don't over-tighten the screws and make sure the clamps don't jam at the start of their socket or the casing will break. No problems with the second one, only after breaking the first one. Anyway, the 1st pair is now fitted and they sound a bit better than I was expecting for the price (and in the ceiling). The sticky stuff for the grilles is a bit awkward to know where exactly to position (mine fell off a couple of times), but I squished it into the groove and it's holding on OK now. I'd buy them again, but just be careful when fitting them.

I am an installer of home theaters and other audio fun stuff. Let me say that I am not a huge fan of Pyle. While the prices are low, the quality and durability is often lower than what I need for custom installation. No installer wants a return trip because a piece of equipment decides to die. There are very few in-wall speakers that have a back-box built in. I had a job where this was critical, and the price had to be low, so I took the chance. They do look and feel cheap, and I could see where other people could easily break the dogleg clamps. I removed each clamp and ran the screw through the molded hole. Then put them all back in place. This makes sure the clamp doesn't get stuck or start at a bad angle. It took some time, but I think was worth it as all clamps performed correctly. And the sound was not half bad! While these can't compare to the multi-thousand dollar in-wall speakers, they did fine for this particular room. For the price these are a good option when you must have a back-box.

Good speakers but hardware poor
For the application that i am using these speakers for they are great and a great price. I would suggest that the clipping hardware is not great quality and most of the mounting system failed me on installation. I would suggest adding small washers on the mounting screws prior to installing in the ceiling. All in all good

Not sound like professional speakers
Not sound like professional speakers. I installed yamaha and pyle, but yamaha sounds better output. Pyle is good for the price.

You will not find a better ENCLOSED in-wall speaker for the price.
Believe me, I scoured the internet. And no one else comes close to this price. Less than $50 for a PAIR of ENCLOSED in-wall speakers. Not to mention there's only a fraction of companies even making enclosed in-wall speakers. I read each of the reviews about these here on Amazon. Of course for the price the manufacture of these speakers can't be the same as others that are upwards of $300 each. But that being said, simply be careful on your installation with them and then once they are mounted they will last. The main reason I wanted enclosed in-walls was for sound control. I didn't want any information bleeding out the back of the wall into the others areas of the house. I wanted it contained. And these do just that. Now, as for the audio quality. After the reviews I didn't expect much. And one doesn't equate high quality home theater products with the Pyle name by any stretch. I was absolutely floored by the quality in sound once they were all installed and configured and paired with my very capable active Yamaha sub. You should know that I am an Audio Engineer by trade so all I do is "critical listening". I'm telling you right now, if you want great sound on the smallest budget possible, this is it. This is the way to go. Also, due to the construction of our 1970's era home and the non-standard placement of the studs I also used one of these for our center channel. So our L/C/R setup all consists of the PDIW57's. Very pleased indeed.
