Works well but hard to install.
I was using the 'short' (.4" long) version quite successfully on a number of mounts but had an application that called for more robustness so I bought the long (.8" long) version. The price was 2x which didn't seem appropriate. I drilled the propper hole (7mm) in Poplar and ruined about 4 in a row trying to get them in. The hex key (5mm) fits a bit loosely and can't take the torque it takes to install them. I checked the tool to make sure it was in good condition (it was), tried to double nut a screw and use a wrench to install it (broke the screw), and finally succeeded with just a drop of liquid soap lubrication on the threads (highly recommend). In the end they worked and I am happy but they were much more expensive than they should have been and very hard to install.

Excellent to use on a subwoofer box
Got the idea to use these on a subwoofer box from a random youtube video.Found the correct machine screws that would fit my Audiopipe shallow mount 10" subwoofers. Found the correct E-Z Lok and ordered them.Installing them was very easy. The packaging tell you what size drill bit to use. The 10-24 variant I got requires a 9/32" drill bit. Drilled the holes, use an impact with the correct E-Z Lok tool and it was done in seconds. Now I remove my subwoofer from its box without having to worry about stripping holes out.

Tuff design
Many of the threaded inserts (for wood) you will encounter are designed to be driving into the wood using a slotted screw driver. That design always breaks, especially when using oak. or other hardwoods. This design uses a hex driver, haven't broke one yet, and I don't think I ever will.

I used these inserts to attach knobs to dresser drawers ...
I used these inserts to attach knobs to dresser drawers made of particle board. They are cheaply made but they did the job well enough for the application. They are definitely made for softer wood. I would give them another star if they had sharper external threads.

Used literally hundreds of these inserts in various sizes
I use these when i cast my door pulls, imbedding them in the resin when i cast them. So far after producing more than 500 skull pulls not one has failed or pulled out of the resin. They are being used in workshops so are subject to some abuse yet all has stood the test after more than 12 months of use.

Good value but brake and strip easily
Strip and brake very easily. But good for value

They work well - but don't overtighten
These are made of soft metal, so be careful when screwing them in.If you over tighten, they round out and are difficult to remove. That's not thevendor's fault, just a warning from someone who over-tightened a few.
