SE 240 Lumens COB LED Hanging Light - FL8826DB

This is a surprisingly handy light. It's quite small, and puts out a decent amount of power. It does use AAA's instead of rechargeable, so that can be good or bad (it uses up batteries fairly quickly on high). It has a hook on the back so you can hang it wherever. Rubber/soft push button the side switches between high/low/blink. We keep this in the car for finding things in the back, in case we need to work on something, great little light.

The LED hanging light while bright in the highest setting but it drains battery quickly. The construction is okay but not water proof. The Chip on board (COB) LED array has ample amount of heat-sink but since it uses AAA batteries QTY 3 (4.5v) and the power drain is on the 'high side' thereby depleting the batteries quickly. At the highest setting the LED array consumes about 3 watt of power or nearly 600mAh which is rather too high for a AAA battery operated device. The medium setting consumes half of the rated value @ about 250mAh which is still high as most AAA batteries (Average priced) have a current rating of about 850mAh. At the best you can get about 2 hours of continuous usage at highest setting and about 4 hours of continuous usage in medium setting. (This is assuming that you have brand new excellent quality AAA batteries)I opened the review unit and found that there is no current limiting resistor whatsoever so I tweaked the circuit a little bit, removed the Zero-ohm surface-mount resistor in series with the LED array and replaced it with 10 ohm resistor so that @ the brightest setting the current draw was limited to about 200mAh thereby increasing the battery life to about 7 hours of continuous use at the brightest setting. The medium setting I could achieve about 100mAh battery drain. Granted I lost little bit of brightness in the process but it was still plenty bright after the little tweaking.Bottom-line: This is designed cheaply but at the price offered I did not expect too much. It serves its purpose. The light is white bright but does not spread-out too much... it creates more of a puddle of light.. under the light fixture. It is usable in your tent during camping but you have to keep few sets of AAA batteries in hand if you want it to run all light.

This is a simple LED light with a lot of power behind it, but the concept of it hanging is just basically tying a string to it. The light is bright and there are three settings, a powerful light, a lower light setting that is still pretty powerful, and a flashing light for using for emergencies.Overall, this is a good thing to have in your home, for emergencies and when you need that extra light. I wish it came with some kind of clip, or string to be an actual "hanging" light.On a side-note, this would make for a great prop for a Tony Stark cosplay. My husband might be stealing it.

This is a great multi-purpose hanging light, and conveniently small and lightweight. You can easily slip it in your pocket, but it will give plenty of illumination to light your tent, if camping, or an attic space, closet, or elsewhere. And being so light, it doesn't take much to hook or hang it on something. We have a massive battery powered GE camp lantern that we always used camping, that had 8D batteries and weighs a lot--and this throws even more light on 3 AAA batteries. It probably won't last as long, but it's so convenient size wise and being light weight, that you'll love it. The blinking stage can also be used for emergency or hazard situations, to warn or alert people. Great, simple and effective product.

This is a nifty little light that you can hang any where you need it. It takes three AAA batteries and has three lighting options. It puts out a light of shine for its size! There is a wire ring you can use to hang it. Mine is in a deep cabinet under my sink that I have trouble seeing what is in the back of it. I hung it on on the pipe and it works well!
