Char's Z-Gok - The Red Juggernaut
They don't call it real grade for nothing for this set truly felt like the real deal! Allow me to start off with the build of this set were you are welcomed with a challenge by having to built the actual frame of the suit while also adding all the armor and decals all around the suite simultaneously. The build was; in my opinion, fairly difficult do to the complex build and structure of this particular suit that you will only find int his specific set and no where else. On top of that, this set gives you a bountiful amount of decals that nearly go everywhere on the suit and some of these decals have a shiny metallic design to them but seem to not stick on as well as your standard clear stickers. Moving on to mobility, this suit has very good articulation but in the process of trying to pose this Gok can lead to a piece falling off which is usually a small little piece of armor on the arm (mainly because you can bend the arms very well). Besides that, the build alone for this set only took around three hours mainly do to some confusion on the hard parts or being very precise on cutting the little stubs on the model. The decals look great when applied but takes a long time to stick on all the required decals in which you are left with a few extras in the end to put on at your own discretion. To be honest though, one of the coolest things about this Gundam set is that it comes with a little Char Aznable which is super sweet but sadly, he is only in a standard red color. The whole suit alone is epic and is very bulky and large which allows for tons of poses and the best feature about this set is how the eye works. You can remove the top of the head which comes off very easily and then you can move the eye into a place that is most suitable for your pose you're trying to get.As a final statement, if you love Char or simply just love the great design of this suit, buy it for it will not disappoint and will look monstrous compared to any other suit you have due to it's bulkiness and it's giant claws! The pictures will say it all and show just how large it is compared to the little Char you get!

It's a Z'Gok. In Real Grade.
It's a Z'Gok. Char's Z'Gok. In Real Grade. Want one?Being an aquatic suit this is a bit of a unique case among the RG line. It also the being only the second unique kits of so far three non-Gundams in the line. The limbs are multi-segmented and the inner frame was designed around this. It uses an all new MS Joint frame with multiple points of articulation across the limbs. This works well for the nature of the suit but also makes the frame more fragile as there are more places where it can stress can potentially break. Care will need to be taken when flexing it's elbow and knee joints as these are tighter than the narrow segmented joints. The external appearance of this kit is quite nice with four different hues of red. Two darker and two lighter. The segmented parts are mostly a dark blue-gray with a lighter part mixed in. Claws are just in plain white and look okay, although this is a rare case where I actually wouldn't have minded a chromed or metallic part. You get some sets of turbines molded in silver though. The provided sticker decals are okay, not too much, not too little.Articulation wise it does a pretty good job considering how stocky it is. You don't get much movement in the torso but the arms and legs have plenty of articulation points for several posing options. The mono-eye inside the "head" can move around be adjusted and the cockpit hatch can be opened. I have noticed that some parts do tend to fall off this kit, most notably the elbow and knee parts and the "toe" vents. You don't get much for extras as this suit has no hands. However do you get the option for having it outfitted with a four-claw set-up instead of the standard three-claws. You get a tiny Char figure and an action base connector to boot.Overall, it's a good kit. Not a whole lot going on here so it's leans on the easier side of RG kits to assemble.

Be careful cutting the white cockpit hatch!
Pros:- Looks great- Tall and broad, compared to regular 1/144 kits- Unique and interesting build- Good posing range, tight joints*- Decently well hidden gates- Lots of stickers that mostly look good, including some cool metallic onesCons:- Bendy parts of limbs are floppy (they only bend so far, though)- Waist can't stay bent at all, even though its range is decent- Old-school RG skeleton means you can't really fix these issues- No waterslides or dry transfers; some of the larger stickers look badOverall, if you think it looks cool, you'll probably like it. It stands up just fine without a base. The cute/menacing aura it has is hard to describe.

A must have for Char fan
If you check the original old anime figure of this model, you will find it was a very simple one. But Bandai successfully put more unique detail on it. Because of the multiple joints on limbs, it is a great poser. For RG model, it is also a good model for beginner.

Heckuva lot of engineering for $27
I bought this to cannibalize for another project, but as I perused the instructions I became more and more impressed with the molding and engineering of the kit. The limbs are jointed for poseability, but you don't have to assemble them; they are preassembled on the tree-or perhaps molded in several steps, like the Figure-Rise bust series. In any event, it's hard to see how Bandai can make any money on these, given the amount of engineering involved and the complicated molds it must take to make the kit.Molded in color, basically snaps together. Really nice kit.

Great Solid Kit for anyone New are already into Gunpla!
No loose parts when fully built. feels very solid, easy to stand on its own for action poses. Zero obsolete parts, it also comes with extra parts to swap the 3-claw for a 4-claw. A panel lining marker goes great with this kit if you want to add a little extra detail to it.

Fun build; great kit.
This kit is wonderful and looks exactly as good as I had hoped it would. The only real issue that I had was its hip joints are not very solid; aside from that, this is a great kit with good articulation.I definitely recommend this, especially if you're looking for a unique Gunpla model to add to or diversify your display.
