Are there any plastic parts inside the kettle that come into contact with hot water? Does the inner lid or spout contain plastic?

Not in the kettle. There is a little plastic in the debris filter and the holder where that attaches to the body of the kettle, but that only comes into contact with hot water momentarily as it's being poured. The spout itself is metal.

While I didn't see any info in the manual; my direct measurement with a watt meter puts it around 1450W on initial power-on, then drops a bit (~1420W) as it warms up.

what is the lowest temp that I can set the kettle to?

I’m able to warm and hold water at 104 degrees; I’m also able to boil water or set a temp anywhere in between. Turn the dial left or right to adjust the temperature setting AFTER setting the kettle on the base. Press the button to start heating. You can hold water at the temp you’ve chosen for a period of time by leaving the kettle on the base. If you lift the kettle, you’ve got a short period of time to return it to the base before needing to press the button again to turn on the element. Pretty simple to use.
