Zhiyun Crane Zhiyun Crane-M Control Cable for Panasonic GH3 GH4 GH5 Supports Take photos/Record videos/Focusing/Zoom In/Zomm Out

I connected the cable to my Panasonic GH4 and followed the directions. The directions say to go into the app and set the crane to camera Panasonic. Problem was I couldn't find where to set the camera in the app. I am looking everywhere and I cannot find it.I emailed support and they got back to me in a day or two. It turns out the latest current app does not have the camera model feature yet they are adding it. I downloaded to old app 'Zhiyun Assistant' App and set the camera to Panasonic and the control works fine.

I now have operation of the snap function and start/stop of the camera with my thumb. No more reaching up to the camera itself. NOTE it does not allow for zoom function, it only allows you to minor focus. It's about 2 inches in length so perfect for the Panasonic G7 mini remote jack on the right side of the camera to plug on the Crane M. No access wire, it's out of the way and does not negatively affect operation of the gimbal.

Works well with GH5 (do not figure to configure the Crane with its IOS or Android app to switch from Sony to Panasonic.I wish she was part of the package as this is a much needed item.It seems that the latest model indeed contains : the cable along with some tiny tripod (very useful for setting up the gimbal).

This works perfectly with my G85. Video start/stop, and take photo, as well as AF start. With my G7, however, it does not trigger AF to start.With the G85, you WILL need a small extension cable for this to work. Take this review with a grain of salt... Here's why:The description says it is for a Panasonic GH4.One of the reviews here says it "works perfectly with my G85" THIS CABLE WILL NOT WORK WITH A G85 WITHOUT AN EXTENSION.If you're looking at this cable to connect your G85 to a Zhiyun Crane - I am posting this review to warn you it will not work!I ordered this cable for my G85 based on the mentioned review, not yet having received my ordered Zhiyun Crane. Both the Crane and the cable arrived at about the same time. I then discovered that this cable is about 6" too short to work with a G85.The GH4 has its Remote port on the left-hand side when looking at the front of the camera, and the G85's Remote port is on the right-hand side.So, the cable may very well work for the camera it claims compatibility with and in that light, my 2-stars (updated to 4 stars after getting a reply with link from other reviewer regarding an extension (<$6) that will allow this cable to work) is not really fair. Get this cable. Don't use the Zhiyun crane without it. Controls my Gh5 no problem. Focus and start / stop record. Much needed. Great accessory.

The Zhiyun now controls start/stop on Panasonic GH4. Can't seem to get to focus control though. Have not tested zoom function yet.

Worked great with my Zhiyun Crane V2 and my GH5! Highly recommend! Allows me to just hit the button on the crane and it starts recording on my camera. Slight delay, but it works and saves time from trying to reach around to my camera and straining the gimble.

Works great with GH5 to start/stop recording and re-focusing on the go, just remember to use the Zhiyun Play app to setup. It's a little pricey and took a few extra days to arrive in the UK, but no problems.

This works with GH5 on a Zhiyun Crane V2, it can start/stop recording, as well as auto focus at the press of a button. I think it's expensive for what it is, but it's either that or pressing buttons on the camera whilst on the gimbal.

The cable is very short. Too short. It will on work with a GH4. I have a GX8 as well, but the remote is on the other side of the camera, so it won't reach.

This is a great product. It arrived well packaged and works seamlessly with my Lumix GH5.

I haven't been able to contact Zhiyun about this. As far as I can see, it is a complete waste of money. It is supposed to be able to change the focus setting of Lumix GH4 cameras from a switch on the Crane gimbal, an extremely useful feature. Unfortunately it doesn't work, and the latest version of the Crane iOS app doesn't refer to this function at all.If I'm wrong, I hope I hear from Zhiyun to explain what I have missed. But until then, one star is one too many.
