Work smart, not hard. I've been in the HVAC trade for 30 years, and wish this thing was invented 30 years ago. If you're already looking at this winch, just buy it. You'll use it way more than you think. Quality is superb. Don't forget to buy some straps, a pulley for even tighter lifting spaces, and a shackle or two and you're set.

I’ve and older model with the steel rope, which I use in another location. This new one is much easier to manage given the synthetic rope. The rope is much lighter. It’s flexibility allows easier hook up and handling. The rest of the Warn product is strong and well engineered.

I use this winch to lift items through the house manhole in the ceiling space. Much safer than man handling up a ladder. Lifts effortlessly and is portable.
