Guardian Wireless Keyless Entry Keypad

We had bought a Chamberlin branded universal keypad that stated it "works with all major brands." However, none of the programming methods worked for a Guardian garage door opener. I picked this up as a solution, which was actually $4 less than the universal and worked like a dream on the first attempt.

Product came without any traditional packing materials (box, instruction book, etc.) But was able to set up the unit just using the instructions inside the cover. The most difficulty I had was locating the LEARN button on the main Guardian garage door opener unit (was covered by a snap-on cover). After that, the entire set-up of the keypad took less than two minutes! Very high-quality unit.

Only took a few minutes to install, and it works perfectly.Note that when the instructions refer to a "Learn" button, it means the "Learn" button on the garage door motor in the garage. There is no Learn button on the device itself. The video tutorial in the Related Video Shorts explains it perfectly.

Worked first time. Extremely easy to set the codes. If you have a Guardian opener then buy the Guardian keypad. I had previously wasted hours with a 'universal' door opener that required several programming steps and then never worked. That opener was returned to a local Home Depot.

Installed the Keypad within a half hour of receiving it an never looked back. The battery was already installed, set the learning button, keyed in the code and it worked immediately.placed the keypad where the old one was with the screws supplied. It was working 20 min after I received it. Thank you.

Wish we would have bought this sooner! So nice to be able to close the door from the keypad when we are going out for a bike ride or a walk. The kids use it to come in after school.

Purchased key specific for our opener having found a universal pad purchased by my brother in law challenging to sync. This pad synced within minutes of receipt and installed on door frame minutes later. If you are looking for seamless installation suggest buying specific to opener.

When the garage door opener guy installed this Guardian opener (that I'd never heard of) I asked if a universal keypad would work. He said no, but he could get me one for the Guardian pretty cheap. $60......... Bought this one and installed it myself in minutes. Easy Peasy and half the price.
