Game changer for driving screws
TLDR: this is a great tool, I love it, if you have to drive lots of screws don't look anywhere else. See below for more detail.*What is an impact driver?*Well I hadn't used one before (previously had used a little electric screwdriver or my combi drill), but when wanting to repetitively pre-drill a hole, then drive in a screw, I didn't want to be continuously changing the bit in my drill, and my electric screwdriver only has so much power. So I needed another power tool. I looked at getting another drill, but some internet research convinced me that an impact driver was better for driving screws, and besides I already had a drill! Well this didn't disappoint - it looks similar to a drill but is smaller and lighter, and has so much more power. It doesn't have torque control (unlike a drill), but the way the impact action works makes it much easier to avoid spinning the bit and stripping the screwhead. Just need to remember to ease off the trigger to make sure it doesn't drive the screw too far, but similarly to a drill, less pressure on the trigger results in a slower speed (and lower torque) so you have plenty of control once you get the hang of it.*What's about this model?*As you would expect for a Bosch Professional tool, the build quality is great, it feels well made and comfortable in the hand. It comes with a belt clip and bit holder that you can attach to the tool, or leave off if you prefer. It has plenty of power and torque, and feels like it could drive any screw (or at least I haven't found anything which gets it near the limit yet).*What bits do you need?*Instead of a normal drill chuck, it has a hex drive, the same size as many screwdrivers, although it's a bit deeper than a standard screwdriver, so normal bits would need to go in a bit holder. Given the power of this tool, it's recommended to use bits that are specifically designed for an impact driver - I bought />Bosch Professional 35-Piece Drill Bit Set (Pick and Click, Accessories for Impact Drivers, with Bits and Universal Holder) - Amazon Exclusive to go with it, which has served me well so far.*Battery life*The product I bought was supplied with 2 X 5Ah batteries, which are some of the highest capacity batteries in the range (unless you get the super expensive ProCore ones). They take about an hour each to charge up, and one battery easily lasted through a couple of days of shed building and workbench assembly, and still had 3 / 3 bars. If anything, a 5Ah battery is way overkill for an impact driver, as it doesn't use much power, but the only downside to the bigger battery is slightly increased weight and size. And if you want to use the battery in a more power hungry tool (e.g. the GAS 18V-10L) you'll be glad of the extra capacity. If I were choosing a battery specifically for this tool, I'd probably go for a 2Ah one and trade the reduced capacity for making the tool smaller and lighter.*What to watch out for*There are 3 models that are very similar to this tool - an impact driver (this one), an impact wrench, and a combination that is both at the same time. The wrench has a half inch drive for attaching sockets instead of the hex drive, so if you want that instead / as well, look at one of the other models. But in my case, I only wanted to drive screws, so the hex drive is perfect. And you can get adapters to adapt from hex drive to sockets, so I could use one of those if needed.

Professional Drill for handyman and household
Needed a professional drill to install roof top antenna and drilling through walls and installing a few devices to the wall. Itβs lightweight, easy to handle, powerful to drill through double brick wall with ease. Grip and material quality is very good. It works effortlessly and has different speed to set to drill. Very pleased with product and would recommend to all.
