The pouch size is 7 "H*5.5"W, Hopefully won't need it but it's necessary and compact... so you can bring it just in case.

Will this hold a 32oz nalgene?

This holds a standard 500 ML bottle or a regular water bottle. It can hold up to 16 ounces of mouth nalgene bottle.

How does this carrier attach to a daypack? It looks like it would be sideways? I wish there was a photo of it attached.
