Elements: Water

I can understand why this CD would get a negative review from Mr. Nehring. This is not easy, accessible music. On the other hand, it's not atonal fury, a la Ornette Coleman, either. It's music that reveals itself and rewards only upon repeated listening. (Through happenstance, I came to own two copies of this CD, and at some point, I admit, I was about to sell both, because I had only listened to the CD once, and it didn't do much for me. Before selling them, though, I gave it one more listen and decided just to sell one of them!)By the way, if you're a Pat Metheny fan, he does some beautiful playing on this disc--electric, acoustic, 42-sting, the works.(And if you don't care to listen to the interview at the end, press STOP!)
