Gardner's Art through the Ages: A Concise Western History

Bought by request for my Ma. She LOVES this book and finds it useful.

Great reference for art history that is very readable and easy to follow. I would recommend it to any art teacher who wants to touch base on important periods of art history, but also maintain student interest.

The book it's self seems a little watered down. I used the last edition in my previous class and it seemed more definate on what it was saying. As if this book is trying to not offend anyone. It is an enjoyable read but I get the feeling that I'm not getting as much information as I could.

Required for a college course. The book was surprisingly interesting and well written.
