Amazing Tele that sounds great out of the box
I can put this one down it’s become my go-to guitar. I’ve been a Squier fan for many years and this one lives up to my expectations. The packaging was secure and well-packed to ensure no dings. The neck plays very well and action was great right out of the box. No truss rod adjustment needed at all. Frets are smooth with no jagged ends. The neck is a satin- finished, slim C shape and body finish is astounding- beautiful butterscotch blonde with a beautiful gloss. This has a belly cut that makes it very comfortable to play. The bridge is a modern style vs the ashtray style. I prefer the one on this because it’s easier rest my palm. The modern bridge saddles make intonation and string height adjustments easy. The strings also go through the body, which adds a more full, crisp sound. The tuners are good and there weren’t any issues. I put D’Addario locking autotrim tuners on all my guitars but if I couldn’t the stock ones would be ok as they are. FYI - the D’Addario tuners I mentioned require no drilling and are direct drop-ins. The nut is synthetic bone and I found no issues with spacing. The pickups are ok and most will be happy with them. However I put in noiseless single coils. Most people love Squiers because they’re also great modding platforms and this one is no different but this one can stand on its own just as it is stick. Very fast comfy neck, decent pickups, and a great finish make this one a winner.

This Kinda Turned My World Upsidedown
I bought this as a used Amazon Warehouse product, so I wasn't expecting much. Really, I was curious and I thought I didn't have much to lose for the price. I've been playing guitar for 32 years. I'm not a professional, but I'd consider myself skilled and knowledgeable if I do say so myself. I figured I'd change whatever needed to be changed and I'd have a beater guitar that I could keep lying around and something I wouldn't have to worry about taking with me anywhere. I really did not expect it to be as nice as it is and I'm not changing anything (though I've changed the strings since I like 10s). The neck feels fine and comfortable. The body wood looks really pretty to me. I didn't know poplar looked so nice and it looks almost like mahogany. Mine appears to be a one-piece body, which I find strange and I would almost think there was a veneer if it weren't for the torso cut. I've payed several guitars $2000-$3000 and I'd say this plays at least 90% as well as those. The pickups actually sound decent. Maybe they aren't as clean and punchy as more expensive pickups, but they sound pleasant to my ear. Just know that they are single coils and there will be some noise, as is the case with all single coil pickups. The nut width is a little narrow (42mm) and the neck resembles an early '60s Strat if I'm not mistaken. I used to think I wanted a wider neck, but I've realized I don't care about that. The neck feels almost unfinished, but neck finish is another thing I've realized doesn't matter too much to me. The body is only 1-1/2" thick rather than the standard, 1-3/4", so it's a thin body, but I actually really like that. It makes accessing the highest frets easier, since the guitar's heel is also thinner. And from what I've heard, some of the original Telecasters in the '50s were actually also 1-1/2". I'm amazed at the quality that is coming out of Chinese factories these days. It used to be that you really had to spend a lot to get any quality, but not anymore. I think that some people get snobby because they drift away from being a musician and become gear enthusiasts. Maybe they think they'll play better on a more expensive guitar, maybe they want to look like their idols. Also, some people get fixated on tone and don't realize that most listeners in a live setting don't care too much about your tone. And if tone is so important, to me the richest tone comes from an acoustic anyway. No offense to anyone, since I've definitely felt myself pulled in that direction too. I'm almost envious that beginners can start on such a good instrument these days. If you are a beginner, know that you have to set up an electric guitar, even an expensive one. Look it up, but it means you have to adjust the action and intonation at the saddles. Also the neck relief might need to be adjusted with the truss rod, especially if you change string gauges. This is completely normal and if you are complaining about string buzz, 99% of the time you are just showing that you don't know anything about guitars. The nut is cheap plastic, but works adequately. Yeah, the frets are gritty, but that goes away and you can polish them if it bothers you that much. The frets do, however, seem to be a soft metal and there was already a little fret wear when I got it. I've leveled and crowned frets before, so I'm not put off by that. Also, there were no sharp or uneven frets or anything like that and I can lower the action as low as I want to, so it's been constructed to good tolerances. There are hairline neck pocket cracks, which I usually can't stand, but I'm OK with on a guitar at this price point. Maybe quality varies between individual instruments, but I got one that someone returned and I really like like it. I never in my life considered buying a Squire until I happened upon this Amazon page and never considered buying a guitar from Amazon either. Now I've since bought another (more expensive) guitar from Amazon and I can't believe how happy I am with them after disappointments (and stress) buying guitars from other websites that will remain nameless. In conclusion, there isn't much cheaper that a guitar can get and this is a good guitar for someone at any level, delivering a tremendous value.

Very great quality guitar!
The only reason I am giving this a 4 and not 5 stars is because mines didn't come with a stripe pattern on the back of the guitar neck for some reason. Other than that it plays really great I would recommend this especially for sound and smoothness it has! The noise is not too bad but you can bypass it no biggie, overall worth the money!

Solid but not perfect. (Fantastic for the price)
Full disclosure: at the time of writing this review I still have not received an amp to ensure all electronics are in working order, meaning that I also have not been able to hear how the stock pickups perform. I will be writing this review from the viewpoint of how the guitar feels in the hand, how it sounds acoustically, and how it is setup from the point of arrival. I will update soon with further information, as my Orange combo arrives tomorrow. The guitar arrived with all strings flattened by about the same amount (about 3-4 half steps), a shipping choice that is appreciated due to keeping even tension across the neck while simultaneously keeping it from receiving too much tension from being applied due to temperature and elevation fluctuations throughout transit. The action feels good. Slightly high but not too bad. This is more or less preference anyways, the average new player should not be bothered by it and it can easily be remedied by an intermediate player who understands their instrument. Slight truss rod/bridge adjustment soon to come, but nothing major. The overall intonation out of the box was pretty surprising. Once tuned up to standard tuning it was quite in tune with itself across the fretboard with a few exceptions. The nut is set too high, leading to really sharp notes across the first 2 frets on most strings. It's upwards of 25-35 cents above where it should be on the low E and A. This guitar obviously does not have a true temperament fretboard, so perfect tuning across the neck is not to be expected, and there are a few troubled frets outside of the first 2, but for the price it's honestly surprising how few and far between I have found intonation issues... The overall intonation is fantastic. Better than any sub $300 fretted stringed instrument I have ever purchased. I imagine that with minimal nut, bridge, and neck adjustment this guitar will be far beyond the quality of what is expected for the price range. With some further upgrades I imagine this guitar will perform above the next price tier. I plan on upgrading the pickups regardless of stock performance and will more than likely replace the pots, knobs, and output jack before they become an issue just because I know this price tier will eventually run into issues on 2/3rd of those components and the other 1/3rd will just be quality of life improvements. Biggest complaint: NUT HEIGHT. You would think that all these companies would know better by now... When you can't play a proper low F/F# you think that you would take notice and pop that baby down a bit... But this is not enough to knock this down to a 4 star review due to price and ease of resolution. I just hope that beginners don't blame themself when playing around there and it sounds like garbage.

I was dubious about buying this. But for the price it is a great little Guitar. Lovely finish on the Body. The Headstocks front is finished in a Gloss lacquer. However the neck and fretboard feel as though there is no finish on there. I have emailed Squier about this to see what it has or has not been given at the Factory. There is no Skunk stripe on the back of the neck. But that's not an issue. It sounds pretty good too, but don't expect a full on Telecaster twang. My Guitar has a low hum, until I touch the Strings. A bad Earth possibly? Going to have that looked into. The Strings are 9 gauge so easy to play on and the neck and Fretboard is smooth, so nice to play, the C shaped neck is also very comfortable in the Hand. It is very light to hold too. The Action on the strings are fairly low. Using YouTube and a Guitar care kit, I managed to set the Neck relief and set the String Action even lower, increasing the playability out of the box. All in all, I am very happy to have bought this Guitar. 10/10. Great Guitar for a Beginner or someone like me wanting something cheap to learn Guitar Maintenance on whilst having something to play too.

The guitar arrived earlier than expected and there are some wear and tear on the packaging but the guitar itself is in pristine condition considering I purchased it from Amazon Warehouse. No string buzzing whatsoever, the frets are all nice and smooth but I have to further tweak the string action, bridge action and the pickup heights for my playing preference. The satin C shape neck is a joy to play, the tuners keep their tune, and the pickups are excellent for the price. It did not come with a case and strap but I have no complains, this is a great value guitar!
