Good that it does the job..... bad it is made with cheap martial.

I had a Timex clock that lasted for years but the display and light didn't work together anymore. This clock alarm system is just right on the low setting for me and I haven't tried the 2nd setting yet. 1st setting chirps on and off and that is fine with me. The light is bright and you do not need to stick it in your face to read the time in the middle of the night. Very legible. Buttons and setting are easy to use. Very nice clock.

Ringers shuts off on its own after 60 seconds --- not helpful.Also, the visibility of the time is terrible when viewed at eye level --- not helpful for an alarm that is used beside the bed.

The less than 5 star reviews were marked down because the clock doesn't stay lite. It is not supposed to. I had one of these for 20 years from Radio Shack. Replaced the batteries maybe 3 times in all those years. I don't want the time staring at me during the night, plus my vision wasn't what it used to be. I keep the clock on my night stand and when I want to see if it is too early to get up I press the bar and it tells me, then goes out.

Price is right, but the LCD screen is hard to see at even slightly angles so not useful for bedroom applications. Should work okay for a desk application with good lighting.

What I like most is the face does not light up like a Christmas tree at night - a great room darkening feature. To check the time, simply press the snooze bar and for 1 second, the face lights up to offer you the time. It is easy to set the time and alarm and to install the batteries. It weighs very little and takes up minimal space. An inexpensive, convenient and easy to use clock. Highly recommend.
