Solid price for two good calls
Turkey season is around the corner and I wanted to get some new diaphragm calls and found these. Primos makes some good stuff so I decided to try them out. Both work well if you are a practiced mouth caller, I wouldn't consider these beginner-friendly myself but they make some really authentic sounds and feel great. The packaging was nice and professional, looked like something from a store and they seem well made. I will update this later if I find any issues but outside of that, they are great so far!

Stop right there: you've found that last turkey calls you'll ever need
...Ok, that may be a stretch, but they are really, really good. For that matter, these are best diaphragm mouth calls I've ever used and I hope that they never go out of production. I actually bought a spare set just in case. They have called in birds in 2 different states (Tennessee and Pennsylvania) in both the Spring and Fall seasons and the reactions were impressive. The reeds on both are extremely easy to work and sound extremely realistic. I personally use the blue, "2" Hooks" call more often, but the green, "Sharp Hooks" call offers a nice contrast that definitely gets attention. In short: don't hesitate to buy these calls! The birds WILL respond.

Effective Calls but Ink Bleeds
Pros: Overall a good call once you learn how to use it. Effective. Cons: Ink bleeds after the first few uses. You'll be eating ink for the first few uses. I had to soak in water and let all the excess ink bleed onto a paper towel before it stopped. Tape is starting to peel after a few uses on the field. We'll have to see how it stands up to further uses.

Great calls, Period!
Ok, so I decided to learn to use a turkey mouth call, so I am not depended on box or scratch calls. I cannot really comment on the sounds as I am still learning, and I cannot consistently get certain pitches. So, I bought several brands to see which feels & seats best. These 2 calls fit great, feel good, and for the beginner I am able to get good sound from these reeds. Great calls, I could just image these would turn a good turkey caller in to master caller. Also got a set for my 13yr son, now he is able to make some noise, and is encouraged & not discouraged

Good qaulity. Great for a beginner.
I dont notice much difference between the two calls in the package. The green one is slightly easier to use I think. That being said, I dont notice much difference between this and any other turkey mouth call, it takes alot of practice to get good with these things and this is probably a great beginner set. The case they come with is pretty brittle. The hinges will snap if you are not careful, I would say overall I would buy these If you or who ever you are buying for is a begginer.

buy just the green, skip the blue........
Both are 3 reed. I can run the green one great. Fast cuts and really nice yelps. You have to run the blue one slower, if you try to run it too fast, to me it sounds like a seal barking or something. but then again i dont know if turkey would like that or not. If i did it over i would just skip the double pack and buy just the green one. I have a woodhaven call with the ghost cut identical to the blue one and it does the same thing, that "seal barking" noise if you try to cut too fast or yelp too fast. Personally i dont care for the ghost cut i guess. the green one i would recommend in a heart beat. sounds great to me. both needed trimming to fit in my mouth properly.
