Do these snap over the pipe without having to disconnect the radiator? The pictures don't make it clear how they are fitted.

Yes, they are a flat single piece of thin plastic that is coiled up. You have to uncoil them and fit them onto the pipe and then they return to their shape.....mainly! Once you get the hang of it you can get a nice finish with them.

A little .. the plastic opens to go around the pipe, can be cut to length, but it wouldn’t bend around corners

Do these go yellow? Mine have, it's the sunlight I think. Makes them look horrible

They do go yellow eventually. I am not sure if it is the heat from the radiator pipes. Mine have stayed white for a decent time. They look better than the copper pipes

Do these covers get hot? Would they be suitable for baby proofing the pipes?

Never noticed but tried it last night. They got warm but I don’t think they were hot enough to burn you. Look good too.
