Organic Turmeric Powder Spice 8.5 oz - Freshly Packed in Glass Jar

The turmeric powder actually has flavor. Glad to see it was in an actual glass jar. Reading the label, I was happy to see, that in addition to organic/natural descriptions I had read before buying it, it's tested for heavy metal.

I couldn't wait to try it in my golden milk. I immediately made my golden paste and used it for my evening golden milk. the taste difference was profound. 1/4 cup of this turmeric, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and all heated in a pan until thickened into a paste. I removed it from the heat and added 2 tbsp virgin organic coconut oil and stored it in my flat, squat mason jar in the frig. 1/2 tsp of this with a cup of my preferred type of milk and a squeeze of honey. It is so satisfying and delicious, I used it for my coffee this morning instead of my regular milk. Yum. The glass jar is very convenient and opening is large enough to use a large spoon without spilling any turmeric (it stains everything, so this is important).

I was very upset that this package was put onto of the fence and was pushed over to fall 6 feet to the ground. Not to mention it was left in the rain like this. Luckily the glass turmeric jar inside did not break. There was no reason this driver could not have opened the gate and put the package on the covered porch like every other driver has done has made my deliveries. Please keep in mind that this review is about the delivery driver and not the product which was packaged very well and is a great spice. Love it.

My lady and I use this as a compound mixed with Organic Coconut Oil & ground pepper in water (with heat, it turns to paste). I found this formula was supposed to be useful for my dogs, but they won't touch it, but this combination is also supposed to work with humans. I put it in coffee and smoothies (plus other stuff). My lady suffers from MCI, and she seems to be improving. However, I use many other natural and script products, so I can't say that this is IT for her cognitive issues. But it can't hurt. If it's helping, great. But there are limits on how much one can use without being obsessive. I put it in salads and add ground pepper, hoping the two will find each other in our digestive systems. Personally, I can't say it's done much for me. Not much OTC works for me, regardless of what it is. Many OTC's work great with first pill, half great with second, and from there, it's wishful thinking. It took a couple of years with a natural supplement for me to realize my eyes had changed for the good. It appears only the hard stuff works immediately or within hours.This price is competitive with what's found in stores, which usually carry smaller containers.

Wow! This stuff is on a completely different level from the turmeric available at the supermarket. It's so good I've developed a slight addiction to it: I've started mixing it with herbal tea, lemon, and cloves as a health tonic (great for cold season!) as well as working it into recipes. My favorite quick lunch is quinoa and stewed lentils seasoned only with this turmeric and some  Better Than Bouillion; Vegetable Base (8 oz) .Be advised: the flavor is STRONG, and that means you can safely use 1/3 to 1/2 less than what recipes call for. A teaspoon can overwhelm a whole pot of soup, but worked into marinades and sauces, the rich, complex, buttery flavor is absolutely sublime. This is a must-have for any healthy kitchen!

Organic and tested. I love this product and I use it to make "golden milk" and curry after reading about the health benefits from using turmeric. May have the potential to prevent heart disease, Alzheimer's and cancer. It's a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis.
