These little lights are great, but have a drawback. These little lights are very easy to install, but I suggest some caution when installing the screw on the left side as the screwdriver will touch a 3-leg capacitor that is right in front of that screw; not a major issue just be cautious. Now as for the lighting and what I think is its best application for maximum results. These lights are of very low lumen, I'd guess somewhere in the order of maybe 90 lumen of flood-light. I installed them on my wood post fence about 6'6" off the ground and the lighting area on the ground is about 9' @ 180° and the light is not bright when there are other sources of light which could shed their light in that area. These lights are best suited for near-total dark areas as that is when they will be visible. They are great for when you just need some lighting, but nothing annoying and don't require finding anything on the ground directly under them. I would compare them to those garden/drive-way/sidewalk lights you stake in the ground for just some minor lighting. I live in Florida so I can't offer any detail on how long they take to fully charge, but they do last all night at 100% intensity. Pros; a full charge lasts all night long, easy to install, discreet light Cons; possibly to discreet of a light source, best for very dark areas as other light sources can wash-out these lights visibility I would recommend these lights as long as you understand how soft a light source they are.

First of all, I installed these in a section of my backyard that doesn't have the most optimal area of sunlight. However, these lights did the perfect job! I actually ended up buying a total of 20 of these guys and put them around the wall on the back and near the pool. I attached them on a brick wall using double sided gorilla tape, which actually holds VERY well (even in the rain!) It really gives the backyard a really nice look at night and it gives enough light to see whats going on back there. Usually it gets dark about 6pm my time, which is one these lights begin to turn on. From that time, I usually see it last up until 12am in the morning. Most of them die off by 1am until they get recharged again from the sun the very next day. Once again, this is with the lights not being at optimal spots in the backyard, since unfortunately the sun just doesn't like to shine much there. I can only imagine how long these actually would last if they were put in an optimal area. Highly recommend these lights, trust me, you won't regret buying them!

While it is not the brightest on the market, it is exactly what I was looking for. It is bright enough for the application I am using it for and works as advertised. Holds a charge nicely, don't know exactly for how long I fall asleep long before it dies out. I have it in the (on all the time it is dark) mode so cannot comment on other modes. I liked it so much I bought one of the two packs and after seeing how good it was bought two of the 4 packs....so I am not going to review the two pack. It hasn't had to last a winter yet, that will be the real test, but so far I am extremely happy with it. Also extremely important to me and what sets it apart from other brands of lights is that the battery is just a normal double A rechargeable battery, so if it goes bad you can replace it cheaply. Again this is not the brightest thing out there, not by a long shot. I use it in one place to highlight steps, and in another to accentuate my garden at night on fence posts.

I had to wait until a good sunshine day so I could show how great these solar lights work on a very dark night. These lights are absolutely beautiful and each fence post provides a lovely ambiance of elegance with the way the plastic covers are designed. Each circular cut into the plastic cover provides an illusion of light that's glamorous and rich-looking. When the lights shine on the dark yard that I hope you can see in this real picture (definitely can't make this up), the beauty makes me speechless. When the moon lights up the night sky and these solar lights have taken in enough sun, the lights do all of the talking to the dark yard. A helpful hint, when carefully removing the plastic cover to install the plastic based on the light post, make sure you turn on the light switch BEFORE putting the plastic cover on. While the covers are somewhat easy to remove to install on the fence posts, it becomes very challenging to carefully remove the plastic cover without breaking it, after it's been installed on the light post.

Love the lights, but the battery is soldered in ( not intended to be replaced). We had 1 with a wire broken loose, making it non usable.

I've waited over 6 months to review these lights because I wanted to see how durable they were. Well, to be honest, they have outlasted the solar ground stakes that my husband bought at Home Depot. :D He took a look at them when I first got them and told me his would outlast mine. I'm laughing now because his died the first week and mine are still going strong. I can't say enough good things about these lights. I have them about waist high all around the wooden fence in the backyard. Every time I look out the back window I can see all around my backyard without turning on the porch light. It's very satisfying to say the least. It use to be pitch black out there and it was kinda scary. Now there is soft white light illuminating all around my backyard and I can keep an eye on the dogs when they go out at night and not worry about them being off somewhere in the pitch black dark. The batteries were included and I haven't had to change them yet. They have worked during rain and over 100 degree summer heat. All of them are still lighting up every night. I'm very impressed.

I have now owned this bran of Genc lights for the best four years. They are amazing and maintain their brightness. Despite the four years ans Four harsh Canadian winters, these lights have longevity and brighten up my backyard so well. Highly recommend this product. Have also purchased for my gazebo which has a sky light and able to charge the lights. Love them and this brand. No issues at all with this product.

Initially for the 2 days , it looked very good, after 3rd day 3 lights out of 4 lights started to switch off after 2 hours , although for the first time I have switched on the button , and charged it for 6 hours

We have these all around the yard, for a total of 18 solar lights. We had had to replace one in 3 years. They look really good day and night

The best thing about this product is the excellent customer service. One that I ordered did not light and when I informed the company they sent out replacements very quickly. The lights themselves look great on my front porch retaining wall, and neighbours have been complimenting me on them. The design they make on the wall is a nice effect. The only minor issue is that they sometimes hesitate to come on. I don't know if that has to do with the cold Canadian climate they are in. I might replace the batteries with slightly stronger ones (900 versus the stock 600) just to increase their reliability. Otherwise, though, very happy and would definitely do business with this company again.

The description of this product is VERY misleading. Here is what they say: "OTHWAY Solar Fence Post Lights Wall Mount Decorative Deck Lighting, Black, 4 Packs". It would seem that you'd be getting 4 packages of 4 lights each. That is not the case. All you get is a package of 4 lights. The price is TWICE the price of the white units. I assumed, wrongfully, that the price reflected a bulk order. Nope. I have requested a return but since these are not sold or shipped by Amazon, even though they arrived in an Amazon box, I'll have to wait and see what the seller has to say as the seller is in the U.S. Others have said that the product is misrepresented and I totally agree. Steer clear, folks.
