Kanu SurfMen's Havana Swim Trunks (Regular & Extended Sizes)

My husband is in his late sixties--he doesn't ask much from swim trunks, other than they feel comfortable, stay on and don't cost much. These do that. He normally wears a size 42/44 waist pant. After reading lots of reviews and Amazon product questions, we decided an XXL might be most appropriate for him. They fit fine, but because the trunks are designed to be comfortably loose, I'm willing to bet he could have ordered an XL and those would have fit too. Either way, the material feels very soft and provides excellent coverage. He looks very nice in them. It's refreshing to find high quality clothing at a reasonable price.

These men’s swim shorts are at least a fair value, however, be cautious of the fit. I am approximately 6’ tall and weight 165lbs. Size medium fit my waist well, however the fit goes terribly wrong from there. The legs are a lot longer than pictured and are just huge...think bloomers! The hip area is way too large for a slimmer build. I really hate to return items, especially when the cost was so low, however these just won’t work for my frame size.

Revised, wore one time and will never wear again, still have a second pair in the bag and I will not be opening it, I really dislike giving bad reviews, there is really something funky going on withe the inside liner, the shorts part is nice but the liner caused the back to sag, pinched, grabbed was completely uncomfortable the whole day I wore them at the beach. I do believe if you go up double your size the liner may not cause issues, buy by the the shorts will look as if you are wearing a hot air balloon. Still need two new swim suits, may go to the dreaded mall, so I can try them on, we i go to replace these.Out of the package, was thinking not bad, look well made. Triple sew on the side seem, that little pocket on the inside mesh liner, large waist string. Typically a size W46, but can go up or down 2 inches and got a 2XL and the shorts are plenty big and comfortable. Like others have said, the mesh liner is a bit tight, the mesh liner fits more like the Tighty Whitey underwear. But they work out fine, in the water. I must say if I had got a size smaller I would have had a problem with the mesh liner. If you want a loose mesh liner, you may want to go up a size but the shorts maybe huge if you do go up a size. Really have nothing bad to say the look and fit as well as others I have paid double the cost of these.

We ordered the Men's Small, Black for our son a few months ago. They're great. However, he's swimming more these days, so we ordered a Men's Small, Charcoal a few days ago. As you can see in the photo, they're not even remotely the same size. The bag, tag, and label on the trunks all say Small. I don't want to re-order the same ones as I'm guessing there's a whole production lot of them that are messed up, and the likelihood of having the issue again with this color is high. Exchanging for another pair of Men's Small, Black in the hopes that we just get another pair like we already have.

I had some real worries about finding a pair of swim trunks my size, and I feel like these have worked out pretty well.One of the very real problems with being a large guy is that the sizes stop just short of where they need to be in regular stores. Clothing stores for larger folks have, it seems, a 100% markeup- which is annoying, embarassing and insanely expensive. Regular size folks can find a t shirt or something someplace for $10-$20. Double that for large folks., if you can find them.Ubiquitous items like bathing suits and bathrobes? Forget even looking anywhere but stores specifically for large folks.These are a perfectly normal pair of swim trunks. At "the fat guy store" they would be over $50. They are good, basic shorts, and it shouldn't be a big deal, but, somehow it is. It's hard to explain the enjoyment of just being able to make a normal purchase, of a normal thing, and have it work out.The price was what I would consider good- in the range a regular sized person would spend for a similar item. The quality was good. Idon't usually write reviews, but I am so pleased with the normalcy of this whole transaction that I have written this positive review. I get to go to the pool. I'm happy.

Trying to lose weight. Bought 2Xl. What makes these shorts good? A wide waistband. It doesn't cut in to your skin, as if you were like a 33' waist. Excellent material. Soft to the touch, the hand slides over the material with little resistance. This is somehow a pleasant experience. The color, Havana Grey. Substantive, but not camouflage, not trying to hide or show off. A pleasant shade. Conservatively cool. The length, above the knee. Not surfing at this time, don't need to pretend I'm just out of the ocean. Plus, a Thick Cord for the waistband. It makes it easier to find and to tie, the manufacturer did not try to scrape pennies by using a teeny weeny little cord that bites the skin when. you pull it tight. Might not sound like a big deal, try it yourself. You'll notice the difference.

I like these swim trunks. The material feels good and drys quick. Also, it doesn't make noise when it rubs together. These swim trunks can also easily pass for a nice pair shorts. The sizing was right on the money. I got a 3x and it fit me perfectly. My only complaint is the inner part of the waist band is a bit coarse. The way the material folds when you tighten the draw string can be a little irritating. (as in it irritates my skin) So minus one star for that but plus one star for the price. Would I buy them again? I did! I bought them in black and gray to go with my blue pair.Pro tip: cut out the netting and experience the freedom only full commando can deliver.

They were a little big, but after being in too small & uncomfortable swim trunks for so long, having something that breathed was sooooooo nice. :-) 3X probably would have worked better, and will probably get another pair that size. not returning though. :-) I'm 6'1" 310 for clarity

So these are really well made great to swim in. They don’t dry as quick as some. But I’ll forgive them that for the build quality. Plus for those that want them for training for swimming they provide a great amount of drag.

They're good looking, well fitting, the reason for the reduction from five stars is the material, which is noisy.
