Ghostbusters Ectomobile: Race Against Slime

Book is great but the car stopped working about 3 weeks after delivery. Be nice if I can order a replacement car.

Long story short? Don't buy this unless you're getting it at a HEAVY discount. At full price this thing feels like a total rip off whether you're a collector or someone wanting to get a gift for their kid. I love Ghostbusters and so does my daughter. She enjoys the Ghostbusters Golden Book I got her a few years ago, she loves Slimer, The Real Ghostbusters, etc...but both she and I hate this book.I will start with a positive and say I love the art style. My daughter likes that Slimer is heavily featured and there are a couple of adorable renditions of him. So...that's all I have to say for positives :|The rest of this is overpriced, underdeveloped nonsense. MSRP is $30 and for that your kid might get 10 or 15 minutes out of this and then put it away. There's about 2-3 pages of reading but the advertisement of "Race through the ghost-filled streets of New York City with this interactive board book featuring a wind-up miniature Ectomobile" is a lie. There is no interactivity here at all. What you do get is a $1 wind up toy of the Ecto-1 that you can 'attempt' to set on the page and have it drive around...but its so cheaply made that it will almost immediately come off the track.In total there can't be more than...6-8 pages? 4 pages are taken up by images of New York from Ghostbusters 1 and 2 that the toy ecto-mobile can "drive on" and the 4 previous pages are really 2 pages of art and 2 pages of text. That's it! I have made some stupid purchases over the past 30 years because of my love of Ghostbusters but this might be one of the worst but based on the description I expected much more.I will add pictures to the review when I get home but I am amazed they put this out for $30. If this was $10 I would maybe get it but in my opinion you should avoid this product. The description is misleading and its not even appropriate for a kid's book unless they are in maybe 3rd grade + based on the reading level it expects.Edit: I am actually just going to return this now. The wind up car never really stays on the track because of poor design. I have added photos which are a complete look at the whole book.

I wanted to love this. It was the coolest gift my son got for his birthday. But... the car broke in minutes. We got it replaced and that one broke immediately too. Then a third. It's basically worthless without the car. Very disappointing.

Fun book for kids and collectors. Car could have been made a little bit better.

A disappointment. The car didn’t work the moment we opened the book. Didn’t care because my 3 year old would probably break it. But the boring roads make it uninteresting. The drawings are cute but it’s an adult book that looks like a kids book
