Another issue for some maybe is that you must only buy Martelli blades as no other make will fit however, I've been cutting away for days now and the blade shows no sign of becoming a little dull so all in all I would recommend it. Also Martelli has an excellent video about the proper use of this cutter. **Q: Why does the option for the 60mm rotary cutter say "by the yard"?** A: That must be a mistake. The rotary cutters are neve sold "by the yard". **Q: Why does it require a 12 volt battery?** A: It doesn't require a 12 volt battery. I've had mine for years and it has never required a battery. It works like any other rotary cutter. **Q: Can this cut chipboard?** A: I would not recommend this. Its design and purpose is for cutting fabric.
