Well written, and well told story of Appalachia
The book is a bit short and left me craving more. I hope to see more come from this author. Perhaps a full length novel with a little more back story and character development. This book certainly tells an interesting story and being from Appalachia I can feel a strong connection to many of the characters and feel as though I have met them before. Gilco paints the images of small community life in the mountains very well. I imagine he may even have a little coal dust in his blood. To the author, I would love to hear about some of Rex Luther’s other adventures both during the war and in his corporate “fixer” job. Keep up the good work, and thank you for a great read.

Leaves me wanting more stories like this.
A riveting story about life in the mountains of West Virginia and the coal mining community it sustains. Murder, mystery, and the pursuit of truth. I hope this author writes more stories about West Virginia, the coal mines and the people who live there. I have no doubt there are countless stories and families that could be brought to life. I truly enjoyed this book.
