It wasn't until months after I'd ordered my x-mount that I discovered that my studs are 24 inches on center. This item allowed me to use that mount with no issues and saved me from having to buy another mount.

If you accidentally ordered a 16" TV mount but have 24" stud spacing, this can fix your mistake.
I bought a Mounting Dream TV mount meant for 16" stud spacing, and when I got it and actually checked I realized I had 24" spacing. The adapter suggested by the instructions wasn't available, so I ordered this and it worked out great.

Beware, Only fits a specific brand
I bought this to use with an existing wall mount bracket because of the description. I wanted to install these on the wall then just hang the brackets already on my TV. Doesn’t work that way. This mount is designed for a specific brand or brackets. Had to buy a whole new mount and bracket instead.
