For 40 years, kleppner and kolenkow's classic text has introduced students to the principles of mechanics. Now brought up to date, this revised and improved second edition is ideal for classical mechanics courses for first- and second-year undergraduates with foundation skills in Mathematics. The book retains all the features of the first edition, including numerous worked examples, challenging problems and extensive illustrations, and has been restructured to improve the flow of ideas. It now features new examples taken from recent developments, such as laser slowing of Atoms, planets and black holes; a 'hints, clues and answers' Section for the end-of-chapter problems to support student learning. Review: Superb! - Although the binding was a bit off towards the end, the book on the whole is in good condition. The pages are soft and the print is of very high quality with all pages clear and enough space for notes (as you can see in the pictures). I have put a transparent cover on my copy just to keep it extra safe. But it isn’t required. However, I would recommend putting a cover because otherwise, the edges get damaged and the book may fall apart. Just an extra layer of safety. The content is amazing as expected. This book is excellent for JAM aspirants and basically anyone interested in a bit more advanced physics. Everyone pursuing their bachelors in physics MUST have this.
