Pleasantly Surprised
I needed a micro drill but my toy budget is severely limited. I saw this and thought "Well, for $11, what the heck. If it doesn't work, I can always use the motor for something." Well, it works! I really thought the chuck would be crude and inaccurate but it works as well as any drill chuck I have. The motor has plenty of power for the tiny drills it will be using. It DOES turn a bit fast, but an inexpensive DC motor controller will fix that. The adapter to mount the chuck to the motor shaft needs to be snugged up occasionally, but that's minor.

Great Electric Drill Motor kit
This is a very nice simple 12v electric motor drill kitLIKES:1. SIMPLE kit...GREAT FOR DIY2. INCLUDED NEEDED ACCESSORIES such as the INCLUDED DRILL CHUCK3. SIMPLE to set up and FUNCTIONS GREATDISLIKES:1. Product does NOT INCLUDE a On/Off switch and it would be nice if this kit had a way to adjust the rpm speed for this Electric Drill Motor within the kit

Awesome idea and much stronger than you'd think
Great for trying to drill in very tight spots like inside of speaker boxes

Good but deforms easily be careful!
Pretty good for the money, I built a little to start tool with mine. Keep in mind the shaft is very narrow about 2mm if you use it in a similar fashion( which I imagine everyone will) you need additional support because the simple action of using the chuck to tighten the jaws will bend the motor armature

Nice Surprise!
For the price, this is nice for drilling very small holes in wood or plastic.Being powered by 12vdc max it can't be expected to develop a great amount of torque. It is what you see! Very simple and will need a power source, to which I added an on-off switch.Would not use commercially but great for model building and tinkers!

Great motor
This is a fantastic motor, I suggest 2 or more amps.

Very Nice economical 12V drill motor and chuck kit
When I saw this on Amazon for tad over$10, I just had to buy it. I was thinking about making my own mini drill press - because I like to do things like that. Note that you can also buy a similar motor, or a similar JT0 chuck package (without the drill bits) separately for just under $10 each. Now I am extremely pleased with what I received! When I assembled and tested everything using my bench power supply, using a PWM motor control, it simply worked much better than I expected. There was no apparent offset or wobble of a sub-mm drill bit in the chuck at any motor speed! The only issue I noted was a slight grind when turning the Jacob chuck to open and close it. That's why I gave it a 4 star, instead of a 5 star, review. This is something I could have easily ignored and live with. However, it prompted me to do something that I'd never done before, but always wanted to do - disassemble a Jacobs chuck to see how it worked! I also wanted to see if I could fix the grinding problem (there are some Youtube videos on how to do this). I soaked and cleaned the chuck parts in some isopropyl alcohol and inspected them carefully. I noticed one very tiny metal splinter and two somewhat and two somewhat microscopic dots that washed out. After cleaning off the parts I lubricated and reassembled the chuck and pressed everything back together in my bench vise. Now the Jacobs chuck opens and closes very easily, and it still runs true on the drill motor.

Handy tool.
This is the handiest darn tool I think I've ever had. While my Dremel is mounted in a press for PCB drilling I keep this one at my work bench for touch up work on the PCBs. Just have it running on 12V from a lab power supply. I also like the key for tightning the bit. The Dremel has a twist type collet which you really need a wrench for to get the bit tight but the key works better.
