Add me to the list of customers with the same problem: Drops signal multiple times a day.
After spending a couple of hours+ carefully researching so I wouldn't end up buying junk it turns out I bought junk anyway. Drops signal multiple times a day. The 15-year-old modem that this was supposed to replace works better (never dropped signal) and is just as fast if not faster. So common these days that even the most recognized name brands with the best reputations put out in junk now. I don't mind paying more for a product that lasts longer and performs better. I would happily pay $500+ if your product actually worked the way you claimed and did and last a reasonable amount of time. Please, TAKE MY MONEY AND MAKE SOMETHING OF QUALITY! Well, back to spending more time on research that I thought I had finally completed. Worst part of all D-link is that you wasted a lot of my time. I greatly resent that and will not be buying D-link again.

GREAT Router - lousy tech support
I found the router to be excellent, but the company falls short on Tech support. While "working" with tech support on a nice included option, I found THREE, (3), MAJOR PROBLEMS with their "so called" tech support. The router, "itself", works great, but getting the included option working, was a FARCE, and it still is not working. Problem (1): While trying to work with the tect, it took "forever" for her to get back to me after short comments. It was evident she was "supporting" multiple clients at a time. Was on for over 1-hour, but talked, in-fact, less that 15-minutes. ->-> Problem NOT solved..!!Problem (2): The Tech support agent had ABSOLUTELY no knowledge of the option, or how to get it working.. ->-> Problem STILL NOT solved.Problem (3): Contacting tech support again, on-line, and informing them of my problems with tech support, and TOTALLY explaining my woes, and requesting a call ONLY got me ->->-> Please call tech support. Technical support on an option, I specifically wanted, (number 2 reason for buying) SUCKS. WISH they would contact me directly, their "on-line" support did NOT help.

Good Router -- Terrible included accessories.
The included ethernet cable that they recommend you use to connect your modem to this router is TERRIBLE.~DO NOT~ use the included ethernet cable when setting up this router. Get a different one from a reputable seller for a more stable Wifi setup.I had seen some reviews from people saying that this router would drop constantly and require regular resets to function properly. Initially, I found the speeds of this router to be excellent, but I too became frustrated with the Wifi dropping -- sometimes in the middle of a zoom meeting!!Each time the Wifi dropped I would check my modem and see that my internet was still working fine, it was an issue with the router. As I was troubleshooting the issue I swapped the manufacturer provided ethernet cable with a different one I've had laying around.Lo and behold, I have not had any dropped wifi issues since making this change!Minus two stars from the product for including a terrible cable that makes their otherwise good product borderline unusable.

Stellar so far
This router replaced an older TP-Link AC-1750 that was working fine but just felt a little lacking. I used the manual setup and named this router the same as the old one and used the same passwords for the 5G and 2.4G bands so I wouldn't have to reconnect all my smart switches. The user interface is very intuitive, and I was able to have this replacement up and running in 15 minutes. The firmware check in the settings indicated I was up to date, but I found a newer version on the D-Link site and installed it manually with no issues.I have four smart switches, two phones, one iPad, a TV, a Chromecast, and three computers working from this router. Two of the computers are connected via CAT7 cables; everything else is wireless. Speeds are GREAT all over my less than 2000 square foot home. I haven't had to reboot the router since I upgraded the firmware. Granted, I've only had this router for a brief time, so if anything changes, I'll be sure to report back.I installed DD-WRT on the old router and am using it as a wireless bridge, so that's one more item that's working with this D-Link router that I forgot about.Overall, no problems at all with the AX5400 at this time, and I'm hopeful it remains that way.Edit 12/02/2022: I now have 6 smart switches and a Ring doorbell working from this router in addition to everything mentioned above. Also using a PC as a Plex server and have no issues casting from the desktop to a TV located approximately 25 feet away.

Nice router
For almost 8 years, I had been using the same reliable D-Link DIR-880L router. However, when I upgraded my cable modem, the DIR-880L did not allow me to get the full speed provided by my ISP. Hence, I upgraded to the D-Link WiFi 6 Router AX5400. After receiving the new router, I downloaded the D-Link WiFi app onto my phone and scanned in the provided QR code. Everything seemed to go okay, but I did not get any internet connection after multiple attempts. Even when connecting my laptop through ethernet cable, I could not manually set up things in the configuration webpage. I called my ISP to reset the cable modem, but I still could not get internet connection between the cable modem and router. So, I hypothesized that the D-Link provided low profile (thin) ethernet cable might be faulty. I switched to a standard ethernet cable, and, that solved the whole connection issue! This is the fourth time that I have seen faulty ethernet (even brand new) cables from different suppliers through the years. So, if you have internet connection issues during setup, please try another ethernet cable! Anyway, the D-Link phone app is useful to configure separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz options; it seems easier to work with this app than the web-based configuration page. Now I get greatly improved speeds though out the house.
