Yes, it cost more money to keep our US manufacturers thriving, but you definitely get what you pay for. I purchased the mid-model 130. The locking jaws provide safety for both the fisherman and the fish, keeping potentially dangerous bites at length for unhooking while enabling a safe release for the fish. The 130, their middle option, has a calibrated scale to 30-pounds, I believe the lighter option is 10-pounds, the heavier option to 60-pounds. Once you use one for landing big offshore fish, you will never look back. Warning! It is easy to lock in with a big fish over the side of a boat and lose this device. Utilize the ring on the top to tether a line to the boat. Do not attach to your arm unless you are sure you can take on whatever you have on.

It’s the real deal, made in USA, and will probably outlive me. Not the Chinese junk. If you want the best this is it. I put a heavy duty lanyard on mine, and bought a holder to keep it secure to my belt while surf fishing.

Lot's of imitators, but there's only one real Boga Grip. I always try and support companies making products here in the USA, and this purchase reminds me why. Sure, it's a bit more expensive than some of the knockoffs, but the build quality is incomparable. I have no doubt my son will still be using this thing long after I'm gone, it's that nice. If you're on the fence, make the investment. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Well engineered grip and quality tool. Even better was getting it on a "Used price deal" for like half-off. Used was someone returned a brand new one which got turned around to us for a "HHHUUUGGGEEE Trumpian" discount. Will keep the toothy fishies at bay and keep my son honest on how much did that one really weigh?
