Oh So Pretty: Punk in Print 1976-1980

Wow, such a wealth of great material but so poorly executed. While economically produced to keep the cost down (I assume), the paper stock is of such poor quality that it completely ruins what could have (and should have) qualified as an essential document and recap of this classic period of music, fashion and art. If the quality of presentation is exponentially worse than the DIY originals, why bother? Those of us who lived thru this wonderful era will gladly pay for a quality product that takes us back to what we experienced, and in some cases (just as important), missed. Take a cue from a superb publication such as the Soul Jazz "Punk 45" book...spend the money and pass on the cost, we'll pay! When quality equals the content, we all win. You could've been a contender...

Absolutely sick publication! I love to see all these great advertisements for records and events reflecting an era that should not be forgotten. The interior printed pages are of a lighter weight paper than I was expecting, so some care should be taken in order for the book to have longevity.

Fantastic collection of printed materials from the early days of punk rock. I doubt even those who were into punk back then saw all of the posters and ephemera reproduced here. The design of these pieces capture an energy that is hard to find in the digital age of music imagery. There are literally hundreds of items to look at and those that were in color are also reproduced in color in the book. Highly recommended for those who appreciate punk rock graphics.
