I bought one of these for my other kids and was disappointed that I couldn’t find the same one in the store for my new baby, especially because none came with pockets to put things like ultrasound photos/hospital baby hat etc. I was happy to have found it online!There are perhaps more questions than a new mom has time to fill out, but I love that it prompts you to really capture the moment and what things are like at the time of birth. Pop culture, price of things, etc.Just buy this book!

(This review is for The Grass is Green Enough). I had bought this journal a few years back and wanted to buy it again for a gift. Studio Oh only sells these wholesale and all the other versions I found were "used, like new" etc. Since it took a bit of digging to find this listing on here, I was a little worried it might be a photo-copied knock off, but it's just as high quality as the one I originally bought. The pages are vibrant and colorful with meaningful quotes. What I like most about this is compared to similar journals is that it's not just a simple check-in repeated every day, or the same prompt over and over. There are no repeats of prompts and they are all very thoughtful and insight-provoking. There's even the occasional check-list or diagram activity thrown in too, which is nice. A lot of the prompts even reflect some basic DBT concepts, which are very helpful for shifting perspective. While I'd say this would probably be a 16+ item vocabulary-wise, there's nothing in here that would be inappropriate or "too adult" for most ages. For those that REALLY struggle with positivity, some of the prompts or quotes may seem a little patronizing at first, but I think part of the challenge is reading/interpreting them with a softer lens and reacting honestly to them. Even if a statement comes off as "toxic positivity" to you, observing your reaction to it can be a helpful tool in gauging where you are in your pursuit of more positivity.
