LATTAFA ADEEB 2.7 EAU DE PARFUM SPRAY

I am so delighted with this obscure find from Lattafa, which I only stumbled into thanks to Amazon's relentless "suggestions." First, I have to talk about the sheer luxurious specialness of the packaging. I've never been one to think too much about presentation and un-boxing things, but man, the effort and beauty that went into this packaging and bottling concept made me slow all the way down and enjoy the intimacy of buying something gorgeous and delectable and all just for ME. I won't spoil it, but I'll say I couldn't figure out why the box was so dang HEAVY for a 2.7 oz perfume bottle. On that alone, this would make a wonderful gift. Already, this looks and feels like a $200 bottle of perfume.Now, about the fragrance itself: I don't proclaim to be an expert nose, and I often cannot pick out all of the fragrance elements in the exacting way a more sophisticated nose could. But I DO have quite an oud collection accumulated at this point, and Adeeb fills the hole in my fragrance profiles in just the way I was looking for.The overall woods of this parfum is very prevalent. Underneath that I smell resins, then something sweeter... but not gourmand. Not particularly spicy either though... I can't place the cinnamon that is described as the top note. It is neither heady, nor overpowering, but has a significant presence. It is not for the simple, one-note tastes of someone in their 20s. It has nuance, but all the scent elements harmonize perfectly. It is warm, grounding and earthy- but very refined and elegant all at the same time.What this fragrance is not: It is not a gourmand, nor chypre, nor fougere. There are no soapy aldehydes dominating the mix, nor marine notes. It is not particularly incense-y either. It is smooth, but not powdery or creamy. That which is left after this list- that is Adeeb.In my oud collection I have everything from wonderful gourmands such as Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian, Raghba Wood Intense and Oud Mood by Lattafa- all the way to the wonderfully pure, dry woods and campfire smoke of Swiss Arabian's Dehn el Ood Malaki. In-between is the herbaceous Midnight Oud by Ard al Zaafran, the spicy-creamy aldehyde of Lattafa's Awraq al Oud, Shaghaf Oud Aswad with its dark rose and cedar undertones, and Olivier's Oud Vanille.*I love them all, but not one of them smells anything like Adeeb. This will be in heavy rotation, and I will absolutely buy it again- for myself, and for others.*I also want to place a shout-out to Intense Oud for their consistently fast shipping and gentile customer service. They are top of my list as a seller of Arabian perfumes, oils, and bakhoor.

The packaging was very nice, I opened the box wondering why it was huge, but it felt very unique and it's really cool to say the least. I think the price point is great for the amount of perfume. It smells really good, but definitely not what I was expecting. It is a mature scent (not in a sexy way, more like older woman smell??). I am about to start college so, I wouldn't purchase this again for myself. Maybe it's not meant to be with my body chemistry and I'm very much a sweet gourmand scented person. It's very strong which I appreciate in a perfume. I may ask my mom if she wants it, if not I'll keep it and use it sparingly.

Es una fragancia que desde que recibes el frasco comienza con un destello bien agradable para cumplidos a mi me duró en la noche unas 6 horas en este verano ostil y la recomendaría para ocacion nocturna te la recomiendo de seguro te va gustar

No es una buena aroma para mi.. no se fija bien en mi piel.. su presentación es excelente.. aunque venían dos hojas rotas.

This does not smell good at allIs so strong that is annoyingIt smells like cheap perfume someone would wear in the 1800's, don't waste your money on this and buy something better and more modern for today's times. This is great as a gift for your grandparents or great grandparents. It is not a perfume for young people under 20 years of age and I dare say that it is not for those under 60 years of age either. I give it only one star because you can't return the product, let alone get a refund. So don't risk it and think about it. This perfume reeks of old.Also my box/book it arrive all broken.

But the problem was the seller, the worst ever…not recommended. It took almost 3 weeks to receive the perfume. The fragrance smells great!
