Not good for a trip alarm- disappointed
I bought this to use with fishing line as a trip-alarm, both around a camping site and in my camper if I leave the window open. The connection is way too stiff. A person would notice the tension of the line before they'd trip it. Maybe okay for a personal alarm while walking at night since it's loud.

Nice trip wire alarm up to 50m.
I put 4 starts because it is a little be hard on detaching pull ring (I had to file it a little bit). As for the sound - I would say it makes 120db, but I will check with my frien's device. In anyway - it is loud. I painted it with true camo colors and going to use it to secure camp perimeter and put traps when play airsoft). Overall it is a good product.
