Not the strongest magnet, use <1' of extension
Not the strongest of magnets, but perfectly fine so long as minimal extension is used with heavier things such as older GNSS Dishes.With a Trimble R8s atop a steel roofed Cat D10, a 9 inch extension bar gave me far more confidence than the 3 foot i tested. With a passive prism this would not be so much of a worry, as they are cheap and light.
