Perfect for my Application
I became very frustrated looking for a good pair of Pinking Shears for my project, without breaking the bank. A lot of the reviews were negative, saying either the shears wouldn’t cut multiple layers of fabric, were too stiff to operate, hurt their hands, etc. Since I needed a pair of shears, and had multiple experiences with Fiskars products, I decided to purchase these. They were delivered quickly and were in perfect condition. No rust or any other blemish, as reported in several reviews. I am happy to report they work just like you would expect a quality pair of shears to work! They cut through 3 layers of cotton flannel with no difficulty, leaving a perfect “pinked” edge. Despite the fact that Fiskars shears are now made in China, they have apparently still maintained their quality. I’m very happy!

High quality, well made scissors. Very impressed with these.
I read a sampling of all the reviews from one star to five. A lot of reviewers mentioned the scissors are stiff. They are a bit stiff to open when you first get them, but I just kept opening and closing them and it worked itself out, but a little drop of oil will solve it, too, just make sure you wipe it off well so as not to stain your fabric. I'd cut on a piece of practice cloth first to make sure the oil doesn't stain. These are high quality scissors. Very impressive. The blades are sharp and cut clean. One thing to note is that they are large scissors. They are great for cutting a large swath of fabric, but if you are looking to do a project that involves small cut outs, like circles or stars and you want a pinked or scalloped edge, I'd get smaller scissors for that, although I actually did cut small circles with these. It just takes patience and pin a circle cutout to the fabric or draw a circle on the back of the fabric. I got these to cut a very beautiful plush red velvet. Velvet leaves a ragged edge if you don't use pinking shears, and with these the edges came out crisp and with no fraying. Very nice. I got the comfort handle and I'm glad I did because they are heavy scissors and the comfort handle only cost about a dollar more so it was a no brainer in choice between the regular handle and this one. I highly recommend them.

Stiff at first but sharp
Like others have said, these are stiff at first but wow are they sharp. I found if I opened and closed them a lot before using, and then worse a glove like I use for quilting, it did not irritate my hands. You have to have friction and pressure to achieve the cutting so naturally there will be pressure which can cause blisters on unprotected hands. I suspect after a lot of use they will loosen up. I tried rotary pinking blades and was unimpressed. I cut out my patterns with a rotary cutter and use these shears on areas which tend to fray. These cut 2-3 layers of quilting cotton easily.

The price is great. They're nicely weighted
The price is great. They're nicely weighted, but not too heavy. They seem sharp enough, I'll know better in a few months. My experience with pinking shears is they tend to dull after awhile. In my case, its most likely due to the fact that I don't use them often. No, nice packaging, or a case or tin for them; but for the price its a good deal.

The cloths have zig-zag edges and I didn't want them to look like they were cut in half
This Pinking Shears is worth every penny. I use this Pinking Shears to cut polishing cloths in half. The cloths have zig-zag edges and I didn't want them to look like they were cut in half. The pattern of these blades matches the zig-zag pattern on the polishing cloth edges and the cloths look like they come from the factory after the shears has cut them.in half. Some users have complained that the blades are too hard to close. The shears are stiff. I put WD-40 on the pivot points and loosened the screw a tiny bit. They will always feel stiff if compared to straight cutting scissors because more cloth is cut when cutting a zig-zag pattern.than when cutting straight across. I cut several cloths at once so the shears will definitely feel tighter when cutting multiple thicknesses together.

The best pinking shears you'll ever own
I bought these scissors on the recommendation of my mother (a lifetime crafter) and the reviews here. Mom says these are premium scissors and you won't get more bang for your buck than Fiskars, and boy was she right! These are by far the best pinking shears there are. They are well worth the extra cost to get a high quality product. I use mine on 1-2 inch wide ribbons and fabric. The cuts are very precise and all edges are clean. The tooth size on this is what I would call a "medium" size, which is perfect for ribbons, or much like the edges of your childhood ribbon awards. I would not recommend using these on paper or cardboard-- this will ruin them for fabric. Get a separate set for your scrapbooking and other crafty needs. If used correctly, you can easily savor the clean, sharp precise cutting edges for many years. It's easy for me to give these pinking shears 5 stars, and I think you will as well!

Nice, sharp, cut well
Sharp. Cut nicely. Easy to grip. Unsure how long they will be ‘sharp’ but I’m going to be extra cautious about what they’re used on and hopefully they’ll remain sharper than my previous pairs.

Corta bien

Pretty good
A little stiff and hard to use. Not as razor sharp as I had hoped. Apart from that, it is pretty good on the whole.
