ICI Magnum RT Steps RTS31DG - Step Bars for 2016 Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500 Crew Cab

Steps look good on my 2017 Ram 2500 Very heavy package. When you see 2 ups drivers unloading it from the truck, don’t think “sissy’s” and grab the box to carry it into your garage by yourself. Like I did. But I was born in the 70’s therefore I am not a millennial so I was able to do it. After recovering for a day I was able to do the install. The directions are terrible. Many little pieces and bolts. If your handy with tools and are good at puzzles then you should be fine. Install took just shy of 3 hours with many interruptions. About 2.5 for the drivers side and 30 min for the passenger side. Once you figure out how they install it is much quicker. I did the install by myself but it would have been helpful with another set of hands. But like I said I’m not a millennial so I was able to handle the situation without calling for mom or dad or sitting in a puddle of tears until someone came along and did the work for me. All and all the steps turned out looking good. I can’t give the 5 stars because they do flex a bit more than I would expect for as heavy they are and the instructions blow. Hope this helps. A little more flimsy than I expected. They have a little flex but most of all, it didn't come with the correct hardware. TONS of washers. Tons of undersized bolts and missing 4 of the 13mm bolts. A bit frustrating that I had to go to HomeDepot and over pay for their stuff too. For 350.00 or whatever I paid for these I would of expected a gauge or two stronger. And as mentioned time and time again, the instructions SUCK. Makes IKEA instructions look genius.

You cant just give these one rating. After explaining you'll understand.Look- 5 stars. Looks awesome and rugged.Fitment- 5 stars. They fit very well. All hardware there. Seem pretty stable. (I'm 210#). But mine is the 3 bolts plus a rocker bracket for a 2018 2500. (You'll understand after purchasing with different mounting g depending on truck and inserts)Instructions.-2 stars. A picture doesnt do it. If you aren't mechanically inclined(and by mechanically inclined I mean actually can problem solve and work on things and not put IKEA stuff together) you will need help. There are lots of extra parts depending on year and model. Instructions are to be desired. 1.2 hours driver side. .5 hours passenger side.Shipping. 4 stars.- Came quick. 2 chips in the boards that I touched up. I figured some minor damage with 100# shipping weight.

Love how they look on my ram. They are very sturdy and firm steps. Pain in the ass to install though. Also when you install be careful if you have fender flares like the ones I have. Chipped the driver front side trying to adjust the step. But overall I love em, just wish they were more simpler to install. So if you decide to go with these and want to install them yourself, you're in for a rough ride.

I love the look and presentation of these steps. They look so much better than just a plain straight step. Only downside I found to these steps was the instructions are not clear. If you order these, make sure you look up youtube videos on how to install them. Overall its a great product and I'm very happy.

The magnum step is high quality and very heavy. The finish, construction, and packing were all perfect as well. Some short falls, the design of the brackets and crazy amount of hardware that go with them is something that could be better. It gets the job done and they are extremely solid but there has to be a better way. Secondly I had to remove a rather thick brace between the frame to mount the front driver side bracket. I feel like it's slightly important. Overall I think 4.5 stars is a proper rating but the amount of time for a quality install was 3 hours all in. Give yourself a Saturday to do it, then relax and check em out after.

With slight modification to rear section( squaring off end outside of bracketing to the truck, it pairs perfectly with my 2019 2500 Cummins Ram Laramie crew cab. Otherwise, the rear tip will stretch across to truck bed.
