great quality
This mason bee/insect house is awesome. Great size, built very well and is sturdy with a nice wax coating on it. Also it's pretty. Bought it to replace several older cheap falling apart bee houses. Buy it.

Pollinators love it!
I mounted this a little lower than recommended at around 4 feet in my garden, near a lot of coneflowers and squash plants. I already had a lot of dragonflies and bees working my plants every morning when I put this up so I put this in an area that I knew they would be nearby already. It’s been about two months and honestly I haven’t checked it in a while so I’m not sure when things started moving in, but today I noticed that there are more than a dozen tubes nested in. It’s also a very nice looking and well-built house and looks great in the garden!

Great item. Bee approved
Had to wait to do an review because no one had used it. But now getting into autumn and the bees have loved it, they have filled every hole and I can't wait for spring when they come out.

nice bee house
I would just like to say that the wood used is not as nice as what is shown in the photograph. Some areas have slight damage and some areas are discolored. Appears that scraps are used to make for some of the pieces. If the photo matched what I received, I would have no complaint. I do realize that after a season or two, the wood becomes extremely weathered and discolored no matter how nice it was when you start out. Additionally, people would logically move this to a less visually prominent spot in the yard away from where people normally are very near, so it's not likely to be a visual focal point.

Very sturdy, awaiting bees
This bee hotel is very sturdy, great quality for the money. I had one (what I think was) mason bee but it only hung around for a few days. I believe my clay source could be better. Next year I will try. I will await the leaf cutter bees during summer and update my review as I get into caring for them in the winter (if I get any this year)

Unbelievable value with instructions
I've built a couple mason bee houses and gave most away. Been too busy to build another so I bought this. It is so much more sophisticated than what I have built. It is well constructed. An unbelievable value for the money and it comes with three different mounting options along with a template and the best instructions I have seen with any product for years. Six stars!

Bummed.
The house itself seemed great, however, the removable wood blocks had a very strong smell like essential oil (eucalyptus maybe?) which caused skin and eye irritation when opening the package. The seller notes this is only made of natural wood and wax so I thought I had received an odd ball. After exchanging for a new house, SAME THING! My husband and friend could both smell it and I didn't even have it close to them. Perhaps the wood block manufacturer started using a scent to deter predatory insects or prevent mold/mildew? Either way, I could not use it and will just get the other natural wood/wax bee house I have purchased in the past without the scent.Side Note: If I could have kept this, I would have taken a little sand paper to the front of the wood blocks as there were several loose slivers sticking out from the openings.

Good deal
We’ve had this box up for 10 days near our garden and it’s already starting to fill up. Great box, sturdy and just what we needed. It looks pretty as well!
