Awesome improvement to 22/45 Mk III plastic grip
The California-legal edition of the Ruger 22/45 Mk III has an anemic plastic grip that is overly narrow, and underwhelming to say the least. You can't remove the grip panels because it's one solid piece of plastic. Just at the point where I was ready to trade it in for something that fit my hand better, along comes a You Tube video that pointed me toward this grip upgrade. If you have a model of the 22/45 that has removable panels, then you don't need to worry, just give this grip a shot, but if you live where the only legal version was the solid plastic grip, please read on.Note: I don't leave this review without some reservations, because to make it work you have to do some gunsmith work, and modifying a pistol like this is not for the faint hearted. Please Google "Ruger MKIII 22/45 grip mod.wmv" and watch the video before you buy because to modify the grip successfully you will have to take a Dremel and flatten the stock grip, then drill it for Grip Screw Bushings which you can find on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088ZG82GK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1I recommend the standard grip bushing, .28 inch height. The result is worth it. After this modification, the result is a spectacular improvement with a hand-filling grip and finger ridges that you can really get a grip on, so to speak.

Very Good Add On - Highly Recommended
This Hogue Ruger 22/45 RP Grip w/Finger Grooves is well made and fits the Ruger 22/45 Lite perfectly. My son uses the Ruger 22/45 Lite for training since his main carry gun is a full size 1911 with similar add on grips. The grips installed easily and should last a very long time. The grips provide good control and improved comfort!Highly Recommended!CFH

Wider, more comfortable grip than factory panels provide, no mods required
Not too much to say about these Hogue rubber grips for the Ruger 22/45 except they offer a wider grip than the stock wood panels provide, which is nice if you have larger hands. The finger indexing and pebbled rubber make it comfortable and give you a firm grip as well. One note based on another review here and a question that was asked, but there are no modifications required to install these grips on a Ruger 22/45. You simply remove the 4 screws holding the original 2 wooden grip panels on, place the Hogue rubber grip on the handle, make sure it's on good and snug and centered over the screw holes, and put screws back in. Done.A really nice grip if you're looking for more comfort and control over the stock grips.

Be very careful when ordering...
I've had Hogue products over the years and have always relied on them to provide excellent quality at a fair price. This item, however, was at best unclear in it's description or at worst, misleading. The product description on the Amazon site indicated that it fit all Ruger 22-45 pistol grips, and when the product came it clearly said "fits all ruger 22-45 pistols."It's too bad that the product was very close to fitting my model because I nearly damaged my weapon trying to make this part fit. After much frustration I went to the Hogue home page and looked up the part number for the product that was shipped to me. The web page indicated that the part that was shipped to me was for Ruger MK III 22-45 only. Mine is a Ruger MK IV, slightly different and requiring a different part altogether. This vendor needs to provide more details about the product and Hogue Inc. needs to update individual packaging to reflect the correct product. I'm guessing that the product sent to me was from older stock that pre dated the Ruger MK IV model.

Excellent product!
First of all, it's a Hogue, so you generally can't go wrong there. Secondly, there aren't a whole lot of options for grips for 22/45's (believe me, I've looked). Finally, with those of us who have big hands, this grip makes the handle fit so much more securely and comfortable in my hands. Another plus is the texture. Since installing this, I've never had the pistol shift or slip.

Hogue Grips will fit some 22/45 Lite Models
I received the grips today and promptly installed them on my 2012 model Ruger 22/45 Lite. They fit perfectly and gave me no problem installing them and look great and give a better feel for the gun. I look forward to trying it on the range. Be careful with the screws you remove taking the factory grips off; they feel like they are plastic. Too much tightening could ruin them. There is a comment about these being a copy. Mine came in Hogue packaging and has the Hogue logo. It does say that the product is made in Mexico under direct supervision and quality control of the Hogue Family.

Very disappointing - Ruger Mark III
I bought these grips for my Ruger Mark III, it came in a timely manner. However when they arrived even though the sticker on the package said Rugar the instructions inside the package said it is for a SIG P226 Pistol. Trying to fit it on my Rugar Mark III the holes do not match up and the cut out do not match a Rugar 22 Mark III
