Love the phone and the quality photos
Love the phone. Yes the phone is the previous generation but only a year from launch. I like to buy flagship phones when the new model is just coming out as this saves hundreds of dollars. This is my second G series phone (I have the G3 which still works fine). Quality of build is fantastic as it should for a flagship phone. Feels great in the hand and isn't too big (but close). Button placement is good but I liked the all on the back that this abandoned though the only thing moved is the volume buttons. Another plus is the user replaceable battery. The phone upgraded to the latest Android OS within the first day. LG is pretty good about that. The added interface by LG is minimalistic and not intrusive but would have liked to be able to uninstall some of the unused programs. As is you just have to disable them. The phone sounds GREAT both in receiving and quality of voice on the other end. Reception strength is excellent too even in marginal areas. For those who use the music player it is excellent sounding as well (in earbuds). The internal speaker volume is marginal (they all are) and could be louder for hands free voice. While I didn't think I would use it I love the fingerprint scanner. If you lose the phone no one can easily access sensitive data. The cameras are great and there are three of them. On the back is two laser auto focused cameras one standard 15Mp and one wide angle 8Mp. LG has done a huge job of improvement here over the older G3 that I have. The internal flash works with both cameras. Both are sharp with great colors. The front camera is now 8Mp and has really good quality as well. All can do 4k video. Now for the accessories available. I bought the camera control attachment and I find that while it works nicely it adds too much bulk. However, for those times when you plan to use the camera it does add a ease of use that other phones don't have. I have used it often (mostly because I have it) but prefer the phone without the bulk for daily use. There is also a high rez audio module available but honestly the "stock" sound system is great. Now with the heavy discounts because this is last years model it is a steal.

This is a good phone have no problems
I'm not sure why this phone is getting such bad reviews it's really worked very well for me. I use my phone a lot from play games, stay connected it's working very well. It even has some features that I like that the Samsung 5 didn't have yes I'm coming from Samsung. The one thing I really like is the finger print scanner. It also interacts with other applications such as your bank and you know things other things so I can access everything quickly and an easily. The one thing I don't like is that it's using that other charger head so I just bought a an adapter for it which cost me like 2 bucks on Amazon and and it comes in like 5 or 6 so no problems there the one thing I really do got to tell you is that it uses those micro SIMs. So if you're looking to switch phones take that into consideration otherwise not a bad phone not a bad phone at all

HACKED PHONE!!! Do Not Buy!
[FOLLOW UP] I found out this phone has been hacked with a special ROM to unlock it. That's why Android Pay won't work, and will NEVER work on this phone. This phone will also never get another update, and is identified by the Google Play store app as an Uncertified device. Any app that requires a certified device will fail. I'm returning this. {original review follows, before I found out exactly how this phone was hacked} The phone itself: 5 stars so far. Activated without trouble on MetroPCS (owned by TMobile). Seems very fast, a better size than the huge ZTE ZMax Pro it replaced. Came with Android 7 already installed, though only up to April 2017 security patch level... hope there's another update soon. The display looks great, and appears to get very bright, hopefully it'll be more viewable outdoors than my last phone. I'm knocking off a couple of stars because the phone isn't unlocked as specified in the product description. It was described as "LG G5 H830 32GB T-mobile GSM Unlocked LTE Smartphone w/ 16MB Camera - Silver". All that's true except the "Unlocked" part. It was also supposed to be brand new, yet the tape seal on the box was broken... at first I assumed this was simply because the phone had to be taken out to unlock, but since it wasn't unlocked there's no reason the seal should've been broken. That aside, everything inside the box did appear brand new and unopened. Debating returning the phone since it's not actually unlocked... but then again I may be fussing over what will amount to nothing; I've no intention of switching from MetroPCS any time soon, but the fact remains I probably wouldn't have bought the phone if it wasn't described as "Unlocked".

Not a bad older phone and with Android 7 is just a capable phone
Replacement phone for my dad, but a major step up from what he is used to using. Coming from an Asus Zenfone 2, the metal finish and better screen is a major plus. Size and weight is great. I chose this phone for the price and because since the update to Android 7, is a way different phone than when it first launched. If you are on TMO and looking for a good starter phone "like Floss would say...this phone is a go" Other notable features is the camera. The wide angle lens is great and the camera is fast.

Awesome phone
I bought this phone over two years ago. It had everything I wanted at the time, and some things I didn't know I wanted -- enough CPU, enough RAM (4GB), enough on-board storage (32GB), micro SD card support, bluetooth to two devices at once, wifi, and plenty of LTE bands. It was one of the only devices on the market with a user-replaceable battery. The ability to support hardware modules is not useful for me, but doesn't hurt. I liked this phone so much, I bought a second one for one of my sisters. Over two years later, I'm starting to run into performance limits. But that's hardly the phone's fault. Software becomes more bloated over time.

My first Flagship Phone
Yea, I got it used but ayy Still a Flag ship. 3 Stars because its decent. Imma make a Pros and cons List and u can use dat to tell if you tryna cop one Pros: LOUDEST SPEAKER EVER Fast Nice screen resolution (Bright Screen too) Lots of Internal Memeory A Memorycard Slot (Goes up to 256 Gigs) Quick Charging Removable battery Cons - Wifi Dropping (Sometimes the Wifi signal will just drop, Ive tested with my otherphone and it never Drops the signal with me in the same area on the same app, i tried resetting wifi cach and stuff like that and it didnt work) -Screen Bleeding (Youll be like watching a Movie or something right? the you go back to the homescreen and the face from the previous screen is still slightly visable and its gon stay there nomatter what app you go on, its Annoying. And it does this often. Gotta restart it to fix it) -USB C Charger (If you lose yo charger or you find yourself out with friends or at work and you ask if you can borror someones charger 100% of the time theyll say "I dont have a Usbc Charger" or "Whats UsbC?" So you just gon be flat outta luck) The Slot The slot to get access to yo memory card and Sim card requires a special tool to get it open and if you lose it you gon struggle to get it open every time you need to open it) Volume Fluxuations Youll be listening to music right and Suddenly the Volume will go low low and then suddenly will spike Loud Loud. Tjis might be because of a app i had installed that has acces to my Volume but idk. its annoying tho. The Holy Light of Halhala Lets say you have your phone on 0% Brightmess before you turn it off right? And you wake up at 4 aclock am and you tryna check yo Myspace page to see whats poppin and when you boot it up everythings fine. The Phone at 0 Just how you had it. you go to do what you was tryna do then BAM 100% BRIGHTNESS OUT OF NOWHERE. You Innocent Sleepy eyes Get DEVISTATED by the sudden Flash of light. Now yo eyes hurtin, you done dropped the phone and You just mad. This done happened to me Many times. My ohone be other that drake type stuff 0-100 Real Quick - The Camera Sure it has lots of options but the phones are grainy.like, even outdoors and i was expecting my first FLAGSHIP ohone to be shooting 4K pictures with Clearness but nope. Dont get me wrong its not Trash its just not worth the phones orice tag imo) - Overheat Not like Burning HOT but noticably warm. Like if you on youtube and you put this in yo pocket you gon feel it get warm. So yeah. You decide if you want it based off my personal experiences...

Love it!
I received the phone a few days ago. I really enjoy it. My only issue was that the phone wasn't activating with my son. I have MetroPCS, and they kept giving me an error (Data/Call services blocked). After some digging I found someone online who had a similar issue with a different carrier and by resetting network settings on the phone, it was able to activate correctly. Battery is better than the G3. Worse than the Aristo, but that's also a low-end phone that doesn't do much more than the basics. I find the pullout battery interesting. The frame of the phone is a bit sturdier for it. And a pin or paperclip is needed to access the SIM/sd cards. Tried one of my big games on it, and it ran beautifully. The front-facing camera is AMAZING! I'm not one to take a lot of selfies, nor do I like how I look in them. I only really take selfies to have records of changes in my hair style length. I took one yesterday to test it and it took one heck of a picture. Rear-facing did about the same as other cameras, but perhaps a bit more focused. All in all, it is a great phone.

Good phone in general just has few defects
This a very good phone however with time it developed a problem with talking through it with the regular speaker and microphone. I was fine because I always use bluetooth and never had a problem with bluetooth. I really like the graphics on this phone, was fast responsive for me, like the feature it had that was new when I bought it. So O decided to recently purchase this phone for my dad however i had to explain to him the speaker problem and doesn't use bluetooth so maybe he will get tired of it and ask me to buy him another.
