what is the heat resistance temperature ?

This is not a heat resistant plastic it is more for the reduction of ware or fraying of wires. I put a match to a scrap piece and it caught fire. I would make sure this is not against any thing that gets hotter than what you yourself can stand to hold onto. Good luck.
