Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Alpha E-Mount Retractable Zoom Lens (Bulk Packaging)

I own a Sony A7III body and a Sony 24-105mm lens which I use for work and love dearly, but lugging the whole thing around when travelling is pretty heavy and inconvenient, so I wind up leaving my camera at home whenver I go out. This made me feel pretty guilty 'cause beside shooting for work, I recently started a travel blog and want to have my camera with me everywhere to catch all the good moments. Before heading out for a 3-week road trip from SF to Seattle, I decided to get this lens. Couldn't have been happier with this decision! My camera and I are now inseparable. Photo quality is definitely not as great as my work lens, but for the travel blog, it's perfectly nice and crisp and very fast. Sometimes I wouldn't even feel it dangling off my side because of how light weight it is. I shoot out of the car's window on the highway a lot and the auto focus is super reliable. I'm 100% happy with it all and all!

I banged my old sony lens just a little and it went crooked and wouldn't work. Looked up the repair videos and after seeing all the screws and cables that had to come out so you can glue the tiny plastic bit back decided I'd sell it to someone more talented than me and I'd just buy a new one. Saw several prices on amazon, this one "plain box" was the most reasonable. It shipped with prime with free returns, so I risked nothing. Its a legit Sony lens and works perfectly. Not sure Amazon should be throwing a boxed lens into a padded bag when they ship me memory cards in cardboard boxes, but aside a slightly bent box it arrived and worked. The lens is what it is, not top of the line, but for what I need my A6300 to do it is perfect

I purchased this lens to complement my Sony a6400. Because I had a larger zoom and a 35mm fixed lens, and I wanted a small, lightweight all-purpose lens for "snapshots" while traveling. The lens arrived in new condition and in two business days. I'm currently on vacation and it has worked beautifully for all my outdoor and indoor, when well lit, pix. It performs just as expected, and I love how compact the whole setup turned out. Autofocus is finger-snapping fast, which I've found with all my Sony OSS lenses. Worth every penny.

The lens is fast to focus and set exposures accurately. And the lens is a nice size and is sharp corner to corner. It has a good near focus when wide. But I may be buying another one because it buzzes when seeking focus. This lens was bought to replace another that I damaged and this one has not held up for a full year yet. I like the size, speed, and performance, but this early sign of weakness is not pleasing. Failure in remote places is a concern.

I bought the Sony camera a few years ago and it came with this lens originally, and I loved it. However, I unfortunately dropped my camera and the lens I had broke. I found the lens on Sony for a TON of money, and when I found this one for a much better price I was a little weary, but I'm so glad I bought it. The lens is great, works just as well as the old one I had, if not better. It arrived quickly and in great packaging, and I'm very happy I was able to find it at a great price. Lens is perfect for beginners like myself, a great all-around lens pretty much great for every subject. Definitely recommend!

I had my doubts about this lens just because it’s refurbished and I have trust issues HOWEVER THIS LENS IS EVERYTHING IVE EVER WANTED AND MORE. I took it to the zoo today and the sheer zoom power and clarity was enough to make me giddy. It’s small and compact making it the perfect travel companion. Safe to say this is the best lens I’ve ever bought. Thanks Sony!

At first I was hesitant to buy this lens, especially when sold as a white box. All you get is the lens with both caps. There’s no fancy box with warranty or any kind of paper work, it’s just the lens wrapped in bubble wrap in a white box. I’m using this lens for video work with the a6500 and after a day of use I can say that results are good. It’s a bit slow to focus in low light but the video is sharp and clean.

My A6000 immediately recognized it and began working. Photo quality seems as good as the originally included lens. My camera is used for very general purposes (documentation only) so I wouldn't even notice any technical flaws if there are any. Perfect for my needs and the price is great.

This lens works as expected with my camera. It was a replacement for the original one which had been damaged.

Excellent price on this lens. $100 cheaper than retail stores. Delivered in 4 days. Very happy.
