This is the first DSLR mic that I own for my camera, and I can tell the difference right away. Well, it's not only for DSLR cameras, but you can use it with your smartphone as well, by using the TRRS cable that comes in the box(which is around $14.00 if you buy separately.) That's a saving from the start. Basically, you can do your Instagram/Facebook live sessions or Zoom sessions or just record videos with your family with this mic for better audio results.The mic is a super-cardioid pattern that captures mainly what is in front of it rather than the ambience around so the closer you get the better it sounds. It's very light that it can be attached to the matte box of my camera if needed.Another feature that I like is that you can use it as a shotgun mic with a boom pole. The only thing is you have to make sure there is not too much headroom when filming so you can get as closer as you can to the subject and capture the best sound possible and the last feature that it sold me was the fact that you can connect another microphone to it, so basically you can have two sources of sound and separate them in post.Overall the sound of this microphone is great for such a low price. It's very warm and just crispy enough to where it doesn't accentuate the sh or sss. It's definitely a good choice to have it handy not just for bloggers, YouTubers or filmmakers but regular people that would like to have a good sound out their phones or camera.

Love this, inexpensive and decent sounding. It feels durable but the holder is a bit limiting and flexible. I love the aux in port to add another mic channel, and it adds a lot to its function. It's very capable and compatible with most cameras. It's also RF shielded I think.

I really like this mic. On one hand, it doesn't have as much low end as the similar Rode in the same class, but this has a much hotter output so you don't have to crank your crappy on-camera preamp and introduce more noise. Sounds great, just as if you have a slight low cut/ roll off or high pass- which is great for minimizing wind and rumble noise. Includes wind muff/ dead cat and good shock mount. Impressive performance for this price range. Recommended!

Excellent little mic with Surprisingly High-Quality Audio. I have been using it attached to the Media Mod of my GoPro Hero 11, and the improvement in sound quality is noteworthy to say the least. I'm not sure how Deity puts so many quality features into such a tiny microphone, especially considering the low price. The addition of a secondary input jack is pure genius. It also includes two very nice cords (an unexpected surprise).The only thing keeping me from giving this item a five-star review is the dead cat/windscreen. It is an effective windscreen, but due to its size and close proximity to the camera's lens (on a GoPro), it interferes with the video and/or photo. This is a problem, however, that is easily rectified. One quick-fix would be to mount the mic on the side of the camera instead of the top. I chose to create an extension to lift the mic just a bit higher (shown in photos 5-6). It is hard to expect more for the price, but I would have been willing to pay a little more for an included extension. As I said though, it is an easy fix.Overall, the Deity V-Mic D4 Mini is the best mini-mic on the market for under 100.00. I could not recommend it higher.

Awesome sound for a mic at this price point.

I do like the sound of this mic. I bought it because it does not reject well at back. This sounds wrong i know. But if I am shooting and talking it sounds pretty good. Actually it sounds better overall than the 2 mic version. Plus it cost less. So there's that.Now. The dead cat. It should reject wind noise way better than it does, given its size and furriness. I can't help thinking the foam is just too stiff right against capsule.Still I'd buy it again and pleased with the variety of cords it comes with.

Me gustó.La calidad del sonido, el alcance, es liviano y cómodo. Y solo conectar y usar. Muy práctico. Estoy contento con el micrófono.Me gustó que trae 2 cables 1 para teléfono y uno para cámara.Aunque no es muy largo el cable pero son de buena calidad

When I first plugged the microphone into my phone, the audio was a little all over the place, every movement I made sounded like something was bumping into the mic. But then I realized I used the wrong cord and the wrong hole on the mic. Make sure to use the output hole and the smartphone cord if using on a phone. Recorded a video of the audio was perfect!

Es el segundo que compro para montar en cámara y tener sonido de referencia. Es ligero, tiene excelente calidad.
