Great, versatile bag for traveling with camera gear!
I need a "personal item" carry on bag for traveling that can hold all my camera equipment (which is really only 1 body, 1 big and 1 small lens, plus batteries/chargers/cards/filters) plus purse items, my iPad, and other items I might want on the plane. It also is then used as my daypack when I am out about at my destination. I have a LowePro sling/shoulder bag that is perfect when I just have my small lens & camera body, but it was not working when I also wanted to travel with my larger 300mm f4.0 with teleconverter lens. Got this bag and am impressed so far. It took me a week of research before I decided to try this one! I wanted quality and versatility but couldn't justify more than $150.Pros:- Material and workmanship appear & feel high quality and built to last.- The bottom is rubberized so protects from moisture and allows the bag to stand upright on its own.- Have only worn it around the house but it feels very comfortable and I love that all the straps are really adjustable so I can make it fit my super short torso.- All the interior compartments are very well padded - I feel confident my gear is protected.- Interior compartments are a bit tricky to reposition due to the super sticky Velcro, but very customizable so I am able to have my DSLR body attached to my large lens and be able to access it through the side access compartment (see photo).- I am pretty confident it's small enough to fit under airline seats and count as my "personal item."- Plenty of space for everything else I might want to take with me and lots of pockets to keep things organized.- Doesn't really look like a camera bag.Cons:- There are a lot of loose straps that aren't removable - generally handy, but definitely can get caught on/in stuff. I never plan on using this as checked luggage so not a serious problem for me.- No real security for side access zipper, but I was able to use one of the included accessory straps and a snap to rig up something that would prevent easy opening of the side access when traveling in urban areas where pickpockets are common.- I don't love the back opening for loading the camera compartment. There are lots of straps in the way. I realize this is a good thing for security and so you are resting the front of the bag on the potentially wet/dirty ground when accessing it rather than the part that will then be on your back. However, the "door" doesn't really open "all the way" so it doesn't stay open by itself when I am loading things, which is annoying.- All the webbing on the exterior looks kinda military and seems superfluous, but maybe I'll find more uses for it as I use the bag?Overall: Really pleased with this purchase and feel it has everything I wanted at a reasonable price!

Needs an expansion zipper on the side
This backpack is a true beast. Feels mostly solid, has some great compartments on it. It fits a 14" 2021 Macbook pro but it is a tight fit vertically. I would like it to have a zipper expansion around the main compartment to fit the Macbook and an iPad. Other than that, it is currently holding my drone, controller, batteries and charger(mavic air 2), two MFT cine lenses, lapel mics, power strip, memory card case, and some pens and tapes. Good buy just wish it had a tad extra. I also took some strap on accesories from my other backpack and slapped them on here and they work perfectly.

It's an excellent bag
First section of this review: I got the 45NV version of this bag for two specific reasons: (1) because I wanted something that could hold my A7RIII with a 70-200mm GM attached and (2) I wanted something with quick access to my camera with lens attached without having to take the bag off and/or open the main compartment. Sadly, although it fits my camera and lens attached, it doesn't leave much room for other items without removing the top compartment, but I like the top compartment for other miscellaneous items. I can fit my A7RIII with 70-200mm attached, and access that from the side cover, plus two or three other small to medium size lenses and a speedlight. Trying to fit, say, my 85mm GM plus my 24-70mm GM and my 55mm Zeiss is pretty tight. I thought the 45 would be big enough but it wasn't.Second section of this review: with all that being said, the quality looks and feels great. The material feels thick and sturdy. I like that it has molle (or close enough) straps so I can add peripheral storage, except the molle on the side access cover doesn't make sense as attaching something there would make accessing the zipper more inconvenient. I like the two tone blue (I got the NV version, which is navy). Overall it's an excellent bag. I will be returning this one, however, but I will purchase the 48 instead of the 45.I will update this review in the coming months as I use the bag more, during hobby as well as professional gigs.

Check the sizes
Ordered the T45M as a daily carry bag for my 5dmk4(with grip) and my ipad. Was really excited for this bag because of the multiple pockets, and accessories add ons that came with it that weren't additional add ons (extra money), and because of the versatility of the bag.Well, it got here today, and it was not nearly large enough to accommodate a full frame DSLR with grip.Pros- INCREDIBLY WELL BUILT. top handle is centered, straps and belt are well padded, velcro dividers are durable, PLENTY of room for exterior attachments, and can hold a good bit of gear, The bag itself and the dividers are molded, giving them great stability. The bag holds its "boxy"shape even with nothing in it, it won't crumble on itself, or put your gear at risk of being smashed.Cons- If you shoot with a grip, this bag will NOT work for you. It is deep enough for a DSLR and zoom lens, as well as a few others, and some other accessories, but it is about 2" too shallow for a grip (Im returning this bag for the T48.Only other downside I can think of, is that the bottom of the bag does not have an all weather covering (not the rain cover, but a rubber or waterproof liner on the bottom exterior), so if you set the bag down on any kid of wet ground, it's going to absorb onto the bag.Overall, Im still giving this bag a 5 star review because it is incredibly well constructed and worth every penny. I just should have checked the dimensions a bit more thoroughly before ordering.

Very well built
Nice size without being too big for my purpose. Very well made.

More padding needed
Normal bag I use is a slingpro 150. But needed a backpack for when carrying a tripod as the extra weight was hurting my neck. After several hours found padding on bottom of vanguard not adequate as for my hight and build, 5'8" meduim to chubby, found it digging into the small of my back and uncomfortable. More/ thicker padding required for long use.

Is smaller than the picture suggest
I have a mirrorlesss body Fujfilm X-T1 with sunhood on the lcd and with focal reducer adapted M42 analog lens, a Jena Silver 50mm with 100x150mm Lee filters holder attached. The body has an additional angle viewfinder and a bottomside bracketgrip. The whole thing barely fits in the main section with all the dividers out. I had to cut out two inner foam layers from the interior to make more room otherwise the bag could not be closed as the camera sat too tight. The flash, filters, and spare batteries in the top section. No more room for anything else such an extra lens etc. The chest strap sits too high, nearly touching the throat. Very nice the extra tripod holder, the extra drink bottle holder and the extra straps. So after some modifications I have my minimalistic lightweight camera backpack. But again, the picture showing the body with lenses is a bit optimistic.

Main Section opens in the back
The item is very well built - however saying that I am dissatisfied with he fact the MAIN compartment or basically opening the entire case is under the shoulder harness and this is not a good design, Rather disappointed considering the price paid.
