Nice lamps, but some QC issues.
I ordered 10 of these lamps for a project and I couldn't help but noticing some quality control issues. So far, two of the LED drivers have died within 2 hours of installation, so I am getting replacements. Pretty scary when you have a project deadline. Now, I'm wondering how long the rest will last. The wires coming out of the AC side of the LED driver are quite short and do not use the standard black and white colors as used in the US for hot and neutral. By reading through reviews I had to figure out that the black is actually the neutral and the red is the hot. Some lamps use blue for neutral and brown for hot. So depending which lamp I'm holding in my hand, the wire colors are different. They do label them L and N and it is mentioned in the manual, but after noticing they don't use standard wire colors, I was already skeptical as to what L and N meant. L means Hot (Line) and N means Neutral. Also, the AC wire coming off the LED driver is about 8 inches long and it is a very thin AWG (I presume about 20 AWG in thickness) which makes it flimsy and not very secure to tie to a standard solid 14 AWG electrical cable.Instead of a wire coming out of the AC side, these LED drivers should really have wire sockets where either solid or stranded wiring can be inserted and secured with screws like most AC outlets and light switches do. The DC side wire should be a few inches longer to allow flexible secure installation of the LED driver in a stud or beam, or as an alternative, the DC wire on the lamp itself could be longer. I do like the fact that the lamp has a plug that can be disconnected from the LED driver which eases installation. Other than that, they provide really easy installation even in tight places, I like the slim profile, good powerful light, and they look very elegant after installed.

Great light, easy installation
I purchased 5 of the 5000k 9W lights for a garage gym. Take a look at the before and after pictures and see for yourself. They are perfect for a gym. I wouldn't use 5000k in the house, but I'm sure 3000k or 4000k would be great. The instructions are pretty useless. The only part which isn't straightforward though is the clips. I just went to YouTube and found this video [...]. Different manufacturer but same or similar clips it seems. The rest of the installation was easy. This was in a single story house with no insulation above in the attic. I spent under $100 on the lights plus supplies (5 lights, 14/2 wiring, junction boxes, wire caps, etc). If you're replacing existing lights it will be even cheaper. I chose to place the LED drivers inside the junction box. There was plenty of room for all of the 14/2 romex and driver inside the box. The cord on the driver and light is short, so plan on the driver being very close to it in the ceiling.I also posted a question on the product page and it was answered in less than 24 hours. Great support. There is some room for improvement, but I still rated 5 stars because I don't think it takes away from the product. In the instructions I wish they had information on attaching the clips, and I also wish it clearly specified which wire on the driver was hot and neutral (or if it matters). The ends on the wires of the driver are TINY. All I did was slice the white outer covering on the driver holding the blue and brown wires together so that I could further separate them to attach them to my home romex wiring. The other room for improvement which would greatly help with installation is to provide a cutout template. Just a simple paper or cardboard circle that I can trace on the ceiling. These things can all be overcome but it would make things that much easier.Overall a great a product which I highly recommend.

These lamps are awesome. I've purchased 7 of them after the initial purchase to "check it out". I have a large basement that is rather dark and the hanging florescent shop lights made the place look like, well... a shop or storage place. I am trying to make the space more livable and good lighting is imperative to that end. I mounted these in just a few minutes using 1/4 inch paneling cut wide enough to mount between the floor joists. That placed the panel lights completely recessed in the ceiling. Their spread of coverage allowed me to fill the entire area with 5 fixtures making this solution one of the least expensive options out there. They work great on a dimmer (see note) so the area can be bright as sunshine for cleaning and soft as moonlight for watching a movie or anything in between. They run very cool (including the power converter) which was a big concern for me as they are surrounded by wood everywhere. I don't trust any light close to wood enough to leave them on when not at home but while we're around these lamps are pretty much always on. They've been in for about a month and all is well. I'll update this review should something change.NOTE: When I put just one of these on a dimmer (I tried several different kinds) it would flicker at the lower intensities. This could be cured by including an incandescent bulb in the circuit. I was a little disappointed with this but decided to go ahead and install them anyway. However, once I was finished with all 5 installed the flickering problem disappeared completely.

Mixed up. Sent 3000k with 4000k in one box. Saw it only on ceiling.

Not CSA approved. Buy at your own risk.
This product is not legal in Canada. They are not CSA approved. I realized this too late. I bought. 24 of them total because 2 failed within 3 months. I now have to replace them with csa approved units. I Can’t return them now because it is too late. I will be reporting this company to the ESA.
