Attached magnets are a big plus
This deflector replaces a very old, very discolored and brittle deflector that attached to the vent with a slide-on plastic clip like you'd use with a report cover. These magnets aren't super strong, but if the deflector is accidentally kicked out of position, it will be much easier to put back in place.

A thin plastic, low-profile air deflector
Some reviewers complain about this being too thin. It's not thick acrylic, like other air deflectors you may see. It's supposed to be thin. The thin plastic lets you cut it to your desired length.I do wish they offered a shorter one, without the extender, for half price or less. If you wanted to put this under a 11" deep bookcase, you've got to cut 5" off, and throw away the useless extender.I wish the magnets were a tad stronger, but they do the trick as long as you or pets don't bang the thing out of the way by accident.Otherwise this works as promised, and does the job.

What a great idea
I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase. So many heating vent deflectors are made of such hard plastic that one bump from the vacuum cleaner and they split and crack. So I thought I’d give this a chance and I’m so glad I did. The magnet attaches to the vent easily and stays attached. The deflector itself stretches out about 3 feet and is so easy to put and keep together. The plastic material is thin but flexible so it hasn’t cracked yet. At first I thought that because the plastic is so thin that the heat coming from the vent might melt it. But it didn’t and it still is 100% in tact, although I don’t turn the heat up very high. It’s inexpensive and it works.

The magnets came unglued by third day
Even though the magnets came unglued right away it still serves the purpose we needed it for but only because it is held in place by entertainment center on top of it. Otherwise the air from vent it covers would easily blow it around. Could be the heat from vent was too much for the glue holding the magnets on due to the tight fit and the really thin plastic of the extension

Exactly what we needed
Used in upstairs room that gets hot in the summer months. The floor vent was located under a bench and the cool air was getting "caught". This simple device forced the air into the center of the room and has helped keep it cool. We used this on a plush, carpeted surface so I would have preferred it to be a bit taller but this would work perfectly under furniture that sits very low to the ground, especially on a hard-surface floor.

They Are Exactly as Pictured
I didn't have a problem with these...if you want to attach more securely to your vents, consider using clear packing tape to hold the deflector on the back and two sides. If you want to keep the extension on more securely, and ensure air doesn't seep out where the extension overlaps, you can also use clear packing tape for that. If you use a good sturdy brand of packing tape like Sc*tch brand, it doesn't come apart with heat from the vent in the winter.

Very versatile but overpriced
Wanted to locate a bathroom vanity (with legs) over a head vent. This was the solution.

They work
These work under furniture. I separated the panels and used each in separate locations. The magnets don't do anything really, but the plastic doesn't move with the airflow anyway.
