Today, the orchard still follows that goal. Managed by the 4th and 5th generations of Kauffmans, Kauffman Orchards grows Nutrient-Dense fruit that has enhanced vitamins, minerals, and flavor. Snacking, Baking, Cooking. An old-fashioned favorite for baking and cooking, Stayman has a hard texture with a famous tart flavor, and is said to bring “A snappy crunch with every bite”. Stayman has also been described as "robust" and "the closest thing to bullets that we grow". This Apple Box contains premium, Nutrient-Dense, non-GMO, non-waxed Stayman apples, and each apple has soft, high-density foam surrounding it to ensure protection during shipping. The 8-ct. box holds approximately 2.5-3 lb. of fresh apples; the 16-ct. box, approximately 5-6 lb.; and the 48-ct. box, approximately 15-18 lb. The 48ct-box is about 3/5 bushel. Shipping Information – We pack your Apple Box with fresh apples that are highest quality, and we use shipping methods that provide a quick 2-3 day delivery to most of the lower 48 United States. However, we have no control over distance to your address, nor over handling and temperature during transit. Since apples sometimes ripen quickly in hot temperatures during transit, we suggest that you consider choosing 2-Day or Next-Day delivery during checkout. Refrigerate your apples upon arrival.

Amazing Apples!
Winesap apples can be difficult to find, even at a local orchard. I saw these a few weeks ago on Amazon as I scoured the internet looking for Winesaps. Amazon notified me once they were available, and I ordered them. They were not inexpensive, but I thought I’d buy them since this appeared to be one of my few options.They arrived beautifully packaged, and the apples exceeded my expectations. The first bite took me back to my childhood when my family went to a local orchard and picked apples; I ate more than I picked. You don’t get apples like this in the store! Crisp, and extremely flavorful; just like a Winesap should be. Amazing.
