Arrowhead Bay Whole Powdered Milk Powder, Great for Camping, Outdoors, Survival, 1lb

I ordered this because my foster daughter said she liked powdered milk. However once it arrived and she tried it, she discovered that it was something else entirely that she had in mind. No one else in my family drinks it so I use it for soups and such. As long as I can't taste it it's fine. The only real issue I have with this is that it doesn't dissolve in cold water. Mix it with cold water and you'll still be whisking a bunch of white lumps in water an hour later. It only seems to blend well in hot water. Since we only use it for soup that's not a big deal, but for people who want to make milk to use for cereal while camping or something, that would be a real issue!

actually I received peanut powder instead, but did not want the trouble to return it, so I kept it and used it in baking and seems to be just fine, who knew

this come's in handy when your baking and do not have milk in the frig

Haven't tasted this yet, hence just four stars. When I taste this milk powder I can update with a more thorough review. That being said, this is what I was expecting. I purchased it for camping, hiking and emergencies. Nothing like a glass of milk and some cookies to see you through a long night or day. Seeing that it's sealed, it should last a long time.. Only time will really tell.Overall, not a bad deal for what I received. Add 3-3/4 cups to this jar and you have a full gallon of whole milk in your hand, or adjust to make just what you need..
