These are great and half the price of the local stores. No taste or smell, you just swallow them and they help other meds absorb better. No impact on your stomach.

It works, but I break them in half, so I get the right amount for me. A fair price and good product, this company is known for quality on a budget. I was taking 1x a day and started getting headaches, so I dropped the amount by 1/2 and that seems to work better. Some people cannot metabolize folic acid from baked goods or enriched flour, but this is a better product, easily absorbed by the body, that's why I got it.

A sketchy doctor ordered a test for me which showed that I had the MTHFR mutation. I found it odd that she still wanted to medicate me although we found the issue of my depression. For example, it was like I was still taking insulin for diabetes when I no longer have diabetes. Doesn’t make sense. When I typed in the gene mutation to look it up, multiple articles came up saying how it can sometimes be a money-making trick. “You have depression? You have the mutation!!” Sometimes the tests can also have a false positive as well. I know it’s comforting to have an answer to an unknown cause. I’ve been taking 1Kmcg (one pill) for years and I’ve been feeling alright. I started taking them roughly when I discontinued antidepressants and I immediately felt better. Fast forward now, I’m 100% clean off those pharmaceuticals and started taking 2K mcg (two pills) and I feel great! But I’m not sure it’s because my withdrawals are subsiding or if it’s because I really truly needed methylfolate because my body can’t process it if it were not for the mutation. Although it could be a placebo, it’s making me feel better than any pharmaceutical did. I also recently increased it to 3Kmcg (three pills) and I felt really weird, heavy, and just overall super foggy in every aspect. I reduced it to 2 and I feel normal again. Edit Oct 2018 I am back on one pill. One pill is the perfect dosage for me. It was trial and error but it is what it is. I know some folk need much more, but remember folks, it depends on YOU. Update February 2019 I no longer take these supplements. My mental health still feels fantastic without it! There is still an ongoing debate about whether MTHFR is a hereditary mutation or if it’s caused by damages mutation (our own fault and could be prevented). While I was taking dangerous prescripted drugs, my body did need the extra folate, but as I am cleared up, clean, and recovered, I no longer needed it. This product absolutely helped me while I was on many mental health medications + withdrawals. I hope this review not only helps y’all with finding the right supplement, but to also show that it’s even better to follow through on research about your own health. The western mental health industry is a rabbit hole so buckle down and get ready for things you never thought could happen to you!
