Root Seeking Balance Scented Soy Wax Melts, Entice, Orange Clove

well, these 'seeking balance' entice orange & clove candles with wood wicks are lovely & smell beautiful in the box-orange & clove are 2 of my all-time favorite scents, i anxiously awaited their arrival. what a BIG disappointment! after 2 hours burning, they smelled FAINTLY of cloves & woodfire. no orange smell at all, indeed NO smell at all if i moved from the table where they were burning. to me, it seems that a votive that cost $3+ should have been stronger & should have smelled at least a little like orange. AND the box states up to 15 hours burn time-mine burned for about 5 hours. root may be a well established company but these candles are mediocre at best & WAY over-priced. we use LOTS of candles & i wanted these to be my new favorites, alas, i will not buy more & i certainly won't recommend root candles to anyone.

The scent is very classic actual-rose (like a real rose, rather than "rose scented" as in an artificial scent) and light enough not to be cloying, but the construction of the candle left a lot to be desired. A votive size candle is just too small for a wooden wick, I think. The candles quickly self-destructed, whether I burned them alone or in a votive holder, and I ended up re-melting the last candle and a half into a separate votive holder with a normal wick so I use the rest of the wax. (I do really like the scent.)I would LOVE to see this exact candle made with a conventional wick.

It does not compare to any of the many candles I have purchased over many years of hunting out favs and fabulous finds in everything from well known names to the people you know in hometown makers and sellers. I love scented candles and I like to think my nose is sensitive too. I like to savor all the warm and inviting aromas and nice scents: like orange and clove, citrus and cinnamon, cinnamon and clove. I thought I would try this. Online trying a new candle brand is "iffy" I guess. The scent of this candle is not very strong at all. The candle was almost completely burned down to the bottom in just around forty minutes. The scent seemed to barely have clove and the orange just did not really smell much like orange. It is definitely NOT a non-drip type either. I did not care for it. Not Good For The Money, Not A Good Deal, Not A Good Candle either in my opinion. Sorry. I really do not think I will try any more from this maker.

I love so many things about this candle - the packaging is so cute and looks recycled, the smell is subtle and beautiful, the wood wick is really fat and burns the surface of the candle evenly. I was hesitant about the price and couldn't exactly picture the size, but when it arrived it was bigger than I anticipated. Other reviewers commented that it doesn't seem to have a scent, but I would say that the scent just isn't as overpowering as Yankee or Bath and Body Works candles - sometimes when I burn those brands for too long I feel like the scent gets into my lungs and it almost feels suffocating. Nothing like that with this product. Not sure if it will really burn for 65 hours, but I would definitely buy this again and have purchased several other scents since.

I'm disappointed that the ingredients aren't listed anywhere, and I do not think the fragrance used is natural essential oils. The scent is too strong and purfumey to be natural in my opinion, and I think they would post the ingredients if they were truly all natural. My bad for purchasing without knowing the ingredients, I guess I trusted their description.

First I thought they were gonna be bigger than they look in pictures. Second they don't last long, in less than one hour they were gone, and i couldn't even feel the scent, so I think it's not really worth to get them, spend your money in another candles.

I like the smell of these candles but I can't keep them lit. I have the larger version with the wood wick and it's no problem to keep that lit but for some reason these small ones won't stay on.

The scent is good but not that strong, and they're a little expensive for what you get. They should change the picture on here because you don't get a candle in a glass holder, you simply get three small votives that you put in your own container.
