This was better quality than a previous one that had lasted three years. It is really well made with one end purposely moulded to make it easy to attach anything to it. I’m not worried about some of the negative reviews. These are not supposed to last for forever, or be used for a child to swing on like they would in a playground, and it seems to be holding up very well for what we need it to do, which is hang a hammock swing from the tree.

This strap works just fine! I had to loop it twice around the tree in order for the hammock chair to be high enough. I needed something to set up a tire swing. It took two because our branch was pretty high up but it was PERFECT! It's super sturdy, and my favorite part is the ease of use. With the heavy duty clip, I can take off the tire and switch to hanging a pod kind of swing. Then I can switch back to the tire. It makes it easy and I have had kids try to get on it that were above the weight. Of course I told them to get off, and I don't recommend testing the weight, for safety purposes. BUT when it was tried, it held up.

I chose Rhino Product's Extra Long Tree Swing Hanging Kit for its design and durability. I think this will be the best product to keep a tree branch healthy (compared to a rope or chain, which will cut off circulation and lead to a dead branch eventually). It wouldn't hurt to place some sort of protection (e.g. carpet scrap) between the strap and branch to further protect the tree. The strap has a higher load factor than any swing will likely bear. I was uncertain of the swivel's load bearing limit, so replaced it with an AusKit Rotational Device (30kN), which is rated to hold an amazing 6,744 pounds (30 x 224.8lbs/kN). It's extra smooth, small, and designed to hold a carabiner or C clamp well. These were just as described and so easy to install. We were running into an issue where we bought a large round swing, but the branch we were going to use was too high to tighten the straps to. So we researched a bunch of ways on how to install rope and they suggested Rhino straps. These are way better than buying rope. 1. Because I don't have to learn some crazy new knot 2. The carabinier made it so much easier. Thank you for making an really good product.

This is the second swing strap kit we have purchased. The first one lasted a little over 3 years. We keep the strap and swing out year round and live in a 4 season area. Our swing was rusting at the bolts so I bought a new one. The swing is used regularly by multiple kids and sometimes the older boys play on it too. I figured it was time to replace the strap and I was glad I did. The old strap was still safe but there was definitely fraying towards the top and a few seams were starting to pop. This is very heavy duty with reinforced stitching so I don't think there would have been any safety risk, probably for years, but I was still glad I replaced it. I think all of these types of products only last so long when left out in the elements. The cost for many years worth of use is definitely reasonable.

Rhino StrapMate 10ft length is the perfect tire swing strap solution. The ease of installation, with the use of the supplied carabiner clip, and a reef knot the tire swing was up in no time. A bit of exterior caulking was used to plug the holes in the tire. (No place for little fingers to get caught.)
