Worth the $$$$!
I just got back from a 15 day trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. This book was great. It really hits the most important things to do/try. I didnt use it a whole lot once I was out and about but it really has everything you need in one book and provides great suggestions about traveling from one place to the other. The only thing I will say is that I tried to go to one restaurant in Hoi An that the book suggested that was closed (Mermaid Restaurant) so I would do your research if taking suggestions on restaurants or Hotels but that will happen with any book.

accommodation suggestions and authentic experiences that are recommended are absolutely on point
I used this while backpacking through Thailand and It was definitely helpfull. Unfortunately, some of the directions for transportation were both unhelpful and even got me lost, but things change so you can't really hold the book accountable for that. However, the restaurant recommendations, accommodation suggestions and authentic experiences that are recommended are absolutely on point. The Lonely Planet is my absolute favorite travel book company and probably one of the only ones I will ever purchase again.

l LOVE THIS SERIES!
I really enjoy the Lonely Planet series. When I travel, I razor out the pages for that city or area, staple them together, put them into a ziplock plastic bag and slip them into my capacious cargo pants pockets. I can review the pages wherever I go that day, without carrying the whole book around. When I leave the area, I slip the pages back into the binding. In the end, I have the whole book, with all my highlighting and notes in the margins, not as neat as at the first, but good enough to refer back to.

Too heavy and too light!
I tried to use this as an eBook but it wasn't easy and the maps were useless. I found that as it covered 4 countries, it doesn't provide the really rich information on any of them that you get in other Lonely Planet guides. I didn't take the hard copy on Laos I had as it was just too heavy to lug in my baggage or my day bag - why must guide books always be so heavy?

The shipping itself was fast and I am very happy with this product
This book was everything I needed and more. It has so much information that I don't even know what to do with! The only thing I wish Lonely Planet did was talk more about hostels. I will be spending a month or so traveling around Asia. I always collect a book no matter where I go. The shipping itself was fast and I am very happy with this product.

Love Lonely Planet books
I always use Lonely Planet Guide Books. I downloaded this onto my mini Ipad which made it easier to carry. Lonely Planet is more detailed and more specific than Hoang Pham Guide books so I believe you need to have the brief , simplified ones as well as at least 1 or 2 of the more detailed books. As long as you download them, it won't be a problem for weight .

Very easy to use
I found this guide as good as the other Lonely Planests that I have used. The easy to use format works well for me. If was good to have the e reader version as it saves carrying a heavy book around. I will in future always buy the e reader version of all Lonely Planet guides.
